I love reading the comments for ANY you tube video of Freddie Mercury. No one ever writes anything rude or hateful in the comment section. No trolls. It’s so refreshing and is a tribute to who he was and who he remains to be in the heart of his steadfast fans and the new fans that continue to find him all these decades later.

I don't understand why people say Freddie was not forthcoming in interviews. He showed a lot of insight about himself, having a strong side and a soft side, how he can leave all his doors open and then be trampled all over, but when he's strong no one can get through. That's pretty personal and revealing. I feel that he was a very vulnerable person, and I always saw a lot of sadness. At the same time it looks like he had a great sense of humour and could be a lot of fun. You can see the burden of fame. When he says, twice, I'm just a human being. How lonely if people who meet you don't treat you like a human being. If you have to keep defences up with every new person.

LOL. but it was the perfect answer because now we all get to see the real human , sensitive side of this beautiful soul and for O5 minutes , all of us escape from our problems into him. even if just for a minute. it's okay freddie , babe. 😚 god , is it possible to miss someone so much whom you never even MET and died years before you were even born? 😭😭😅 *i just wanna' hug him!* *i just wish i could hug him for one minute. so bad. i would make a devil's deal just to hug this beautiful man and tell him thank you , and i love him.* 😖😪💙

The thing that gets me most about Freddie’s interviews is how openly and honestly he answers the questions. A lot of the questions seem to be trying to trip him up and it almost feels like he’s constantly having to defend himself. A very intelligent man with a great talent.
@bexanne994 жыл бұрын
Freddie will anwser the questions poignantly. He doest give one word anwsers, he takes it seriously. He hated being interviewed but if he was asked a question he put a lot of thought behind his anwsers. He was very intelligent and knew this would be forever more. The subtle things he does to show how he would really rather be somewhere else are endearing and just make me love him more. The winks, the eye rolls and the punch to to his own face are priceless. Like he famously said, I'm not going to be a Rockstar, I'm going to be a legend! And darn right he is. Here we are 29 years after his death still talking about him. Watching every video we can get our hands on. I really think true Freddie fans ( someone said to me not long ago I heard you are a major Freddie Mercury and of course a Queen, fan. I said oh yes!! They said I am too. I thought awesome someone to really talk to about everything. I said his 1981 live version of Somebody to Love in Montreal was amazing, they looked confused so I took it to the one everyone knows and loves, I said what did you think about Live aid? What was your favorite part or song, again they looked at me lost. Freddie fan my ass. They said yeah, I just love Bohemian Rhapsordy, not mispelled, To be honest I kind of wanted to lean in and say your no fan at all.) but us true Freddie fans see more than an incredible voice, the crowd control, the way he moves on a stage. We love him in his quiet moments as well! My Mom, who was also a huge Freddie fan, and I used to say wouldn't it just be great to be best friends with him sit on his bed with his cats and just talk like true friends do. Unfortunately my Mom passed away very suddenly at the age of 60, in Febuary. I am destroyed but I know her dream of being his friend has most likely come true. My Mom was incredibly caring, she only judged people on one thing, how they treated others. I believe her and Freddie are great friends as my Mom was just his type of person! ❤❤

I love it when he says that the song goes first and whenever a song needs something old-fashioned in it, he'd just do it, for the sake of the song. The attitude which is so terribly missed nowadays. Everyone just goes with the flow and many bands now sound much worse than in their early days, only because they do it the "modern way" instead of doing it "the right way." I mean, why reinvent the wheel if something is just good and has been working fine ever since?

Freddie was definitely a right brainer! Artistic, sensitive, creative, but not especially academic or practical at all. He was also a beautiful Persian peacock. His death was a great loss for the music world, and for all us fans. Never boring. RIP, Freddie darling. 💙

"Is that all he asked you? And I went through this whole damn thing." Such shy sweetness, you look in to the camera and then down so shyly. "Well, there you are, you have it on tape." Freddie, I promise you darling, no one would ever tread on you if I was anywhere near. Your heart is beautifully tender and sweet and I would destroy them if they tried. Miss your wit, your kindness and humor, my dear. Always thinking of you until tomorrow. 💛

Great in depth interview probably more so because of the interpreting , it truly shows where his head space was at that time in his career as a solo artist and queen member. So deeply honest and I think after about 50 ciggies later we learnt a lot about the man FM . What a shame in 6 years from this he would pass away himself and actually join the likes of John Lennon in the ether . Love dear Freddie 🥰

I LOVE this! Thank you so much. I love Freddie's honesty. He's fighting shyness and impatience, but like the consumate professional he is answers every question fully, and a number of different ways while us mere mortals catch up with his smart as a whip intellect and humour. I think this is the most I've ever seen him open up about himself- telling complete strangers more than most of us would a therapist. Love his expression at 37:20 when he realises how much he's said, snaps back into his shell with a look of 'get me out of here' 💖🤣 Best interview since he grew a stache
