I had ordered the GR3X first, but before even opening the package i realized i just want, and need the 28mm one. So thats what i went with :D Looking forward to shoot some sick photos on my upcoming italy trip! I'm an ex DSLR photographer who lost interest in photography because of too much carry. I'm certain the GRIII is gonna kickstart my love for photography once again!

Great vid! Do you normally shoot with a fixed f4 aperture? Really love all the compositions.

Thanks! F4 is kind of my starting point and then I adjust depending if I want a shallower or a deeper depth of field. But F4 is getting me great result in most cases

Very nice. I'm curious why you don't ever use the EVF in this video. I guess you were filming while shooting or do you just prefer a higher vantage point?

My guess is that he is accustomed to the Ricoh GRIII. A viewfinder is usable but not necessary if you can 'feel' your photos more than observe them

I use a mix of both but when shooting a video with a GoPro I tend to use the screen more so the viewer can better see what I do

Love this! How's the weight of the lens? I'm in the brink of buying it but scared of the weight for traveling.

It is pretty heavy to be honest. It's top top quality but if the weight is really a concern maybe look for the Tamron v2 or the other Sigma 28-70

how about 24-70 GM II for street ?

I am sure it is good and a bit lighter than the SIGMA but it is veeery expensive and still it is a fullframe zoom lens so it may stand out in the streets.
