I can't wait to get this machine, I'm changing my room into my craft room because it's the master and why do I need to sleep in such a large room when I can craft in it lol. Thank you for the video 💐

What would be the different application for this machine vs the new Cameo 5? Thank you

The Curio 2 has a clearance of 20 mm so it can do projects directly on materials that the Cameo 5 cannot. 20 mm is the clearance NOT the cut depth. The Curio 2 can use the new Power Engraver tool and the Leather (not real leather) punch tool as well. The stable base of the Curio also helps for many projects. Lots more information to come! Only so many hours in the day and I'm only on Day 3 with the machine as I type this.

😮 OMG, EllyMae I've been off FB for awhile so I haven't been in the group!!! This new Curio looks AMAZING!!!!! 😍 Is it available now and if so what is the price point?! Does it still have metal Engraving capabilities?! I NEED to know ALL the things! 😂

Yes and yes. Click on my description, and I have links to get it now. It is limited quantity at the moment. The accessories will be available later this month. A great time to get it and learn the basics, though. But, it will be around awhile too ;)

Why oh why are we still using the unstable bluetooth option....WiFi is a much better and stable connection with a bigger communication path.....come on people lets get with the times.

I can speak in generalized terms from my experience & discussions with the companies... a few reasons are... - Switching to wifi means a whole rework for not just machines but also software as well. That is a cost. - wifi would increase the price of the machines even more in manufacturing, which then increases the cost of the machines. Many already complain about the costs of machines as is. Costs have already increased for all things worldwide over the past couple of years. One of the features of Silhouette has been and continuing is to be able to use without internet. Bluetooth allows that. Wifi does not. Many Silhouette users are in rural areas or have purchased a Silhouette machine because of the ability to not need to go through the internet/router. Those are just a couple, and I am sure there are additional reasons. I have machines that wifi, and I have machines that use Bluetooth. In troubleshooting user issues, both have about the same issues as far as user success.

@@SilhouetteSecrets I have many a printer that has long been on wifi without needing to go the the internet. A Wifi module is a mere 5 cents per module. Since they were redesigning the machine (just like your phone) they could have included both options for people to use. Its not that big of a cost thing....I think its a programming thing like you said. The dont want to change the software across the board as you are correct, it would take a redoo of the software to accomidate IP communication vs bluetooth. But, I do believe that it is possible and for not much more cost of a unit....hell make it an add on module that the user plugs in....we have that now with the paper feeder for the Cameo 4!!!
