I was actually annoyed at Macron at the time because I felt he was going a little too far, almost grovelling. However, now I’m glad of it as it gives him every right to be a bit hawkish with his position today. He could yet turn out to be the most important leader of our time. We need more like him right now. The seriousness of this Russian invasion cannot be underestimated, nor should it be.

Than ICC or whoever will take their cases should dismiss such alibis. If those apparently doing their Kremlin/autocrat-supporting grift privately, without being officially on [designated terrorist] state's payroll could have some slack in the legal system under such claims, those under direct Roskomnadzor or other Kremlin's psyop offices' directives shouldn't pass for this kind of excuse. That includes anyone lately working for RT or like A. Jones directly for Solovyov. After all, Russian state media machine is the best-funded and most controlled regime propaganda tool ( weapon of soft-power) in the world. Their international operations are even larger and better funded, unfortunately most of it is done via covert black economy means and incentives. Benefits for this way of operation are clearly palpable in places like Georgia and other Eastern European countries if you look into it. The sanctions list for now is the best precedent, as it designates some of them (mostly Russians for now) as agents of terrorist regime under many European state legislations. Many of their assets are frozen in my city, not too far from Russia. Further precedents of international and local courts could set an example how to deal with the rest of them in the future. The will of international cour system among democratic countries will likely decide their fate, so never mind Kremlin state propagandists, even the likes of Tucker, McGregor or even M.T.Green are not yet off the hook.

Indeed they have. But there are also Russian politicians who are committing war crimes of a similar nature. Did not Shoigu, as just one example, say, before the invasion that Ukranians are not human. This could be seen as a deliberate attemp to dehumanise Ukrainians which led to the horrific war crimes that have been committed. I would also contend that there are other, non Russian, organisations and individuals who have and are still doing the same.

@ralfjanser4733 Well, it does a number of things. It says to anyone else doing the same, there is a possibility that they might have to pay a price. It says to the Russian individuals involved that they are very limited in their possibilities to travel. Some of these people like to travel to the West regularly. I believe one propagandist lives in Italy(?) and only goes back to Russia to do programmes. It will limit their contacts and business opportunities in the years to come. It says to others, non-Russian, to be careful. There are individuals' personal KZfaq channels and websites, some newspapers (non-Russian) with KZfaq channels and websites that spread the most hateful and evil pro Russian propaganda pushing genocidal hate and demanding destruction. This behaviour is potentially a crime.

I thought that the Kremlin already claimed to be fighting NATO forces in Ukraine - if that Kremlin lie were accurate, then why would Putin view that policy change as new? I just ask a rhetorical question. Interesting to hear that the Kremlin rehabilitation of mass murderer Stalin continues.

You make an important point about the Russian army - that brutality is nothing new and that it is not only directed outward but just as much inward. This gives a highly unstable force where, historically, mass surrenders and mutinies have been common... A large number of troops are required to maintain order rather than fight the enemy.

I was taking notes and looked for the Stalin center in Siberia (the event you spoke of) and came across an article from Radio Free Europe : "Cannibal Island: In 1933, Nearly 5,000 Died In One Of Stalin's Most Horrific Labor Camps". In part, the plan was aimed at covering up the ongoing famine in Ukraine and other parts of the country. If you read it, be warned: it is a gruesome account. Putin evoking Stalin is maybe Russia at it's worst. As you mention, it brings the Crocus Arena attack in Moscow into focus. Why would any country wish to be part of Russia.?

Very interesting.....Ukraine's presence in Syria, not reported until now, but deeply surprising as Ukraine faces manpower issues at home. Moscow relocated some troops and equipment from Syria to the Ukrainian battlefield, autumn 2022, potentially making their troops in Syria more vulnerable to Ukraine's attacks in the region. At the same time, Russians have created multiple recruitment centers for the deployment of Syrian mercenaries in Ukraine. The mercenaries get Russian passports and then mobilized into the Russian Armed Forces. Ukraine is reportedly also fighting Wagner mercenaries in Sudan.😮 Some told Business Insider, that there may be some sort of tacit agreement between Western allies and Ukraine to battle Russian mercenaries in Africa, in exchange for certain military backing for Ukraine in its war against Russia.

Hi Jonathan, I've been following you for well over a year now. Also back-tracking among your episodes. Amazing content here, and great discussions! Just recently watched the latest from Konstantin and came across this clip (kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fL6qnZlj0aeve3U.html) of Stanislav Zimin, a supposedly 45-year-old lawyer and current deputy in Khabarovsk(?). Obviously standing out. What is your take on this interview, is it genuine/real and if so, what are his chances to keep standing up for human values and continue conveying reality to ordinary russians? And, yes, those propagandists (clowns) on russian state television should be prosecuted for "hate speech" and systematic spreading of "false information". I hope the international court/community will put some efforts into label them and bring them to justice!
