She's cool. Let's get it done. Georgia needs to be free of Russia's grip.

Quite foolish wishfulness. He sounds like the neoliberals that took us to war in Iraq or Libya . The opportunities to be had they said! If Russia collapses China will also seek to capture the broken pieces .With largesse or force and legal ( they claim Russian land as theirs) . So quite a naive assumption of breaking the cookie jar and all the cookies will fall into our lap. Why do we have an endless supply of these delusions in the West?

Important interview to hear. It does outline the real issue of having to choose between NATIONAL SECURITY & HUMANITY. Do you show kindness and humility to people leaving an unfavourable nation, or do you block the borders and force them to remain at home to deal with or resolve the home problems.

Bread and butter goes far beyond what America is doing! Great. Then you don't need the US. It takes a moron to even suggest that any American president could get out of europe. You don't know what people care about and for a liar like yourself throwing stones may be self-defeating.😂

You don't remember when Trump was telling the Germans, that it's not such a great idea to buy all your energy from your lifelong nemesis( oh no Russia has changed they do not attack their neighbors anymore.)While Putin is destroying Chechnia and Georgia. Straight greed. Let the Americans defend you while giving billions to the people they are defending you from.
@juliandesmond45722 сағат бұрын
This dude has no idea what the hell he's talking about there are shit loads of Maga supporters that were born in Europe and spent more time there than you ever have. And this immature and ignorant game of hypotheticals that this rino and the Dems keep playing saying Trump is going to abandon Europe is foolish you probably think Putin is getting ready to nuke Ukraine. And how ungrateful 60 billion is not enough. We need more already. And who has Trump telling Nato members they need to do what the rules of being a member of NATO require? It's cool America is rich they will toe the line. Not a single effective army in Europe besides US and he says Europe is doing enough.

33:00 "the foreign agents law came from the top / aka Putin" because it made no political sense... just in case there is a challenge. So it's a huge gamble / potential mistake that assumes the potential political benefits will be greater than the costs. This, even though Tinatin believes Georgian Dream was heading for a landslide win before these events. The whole things is just mad. Maybe overconfidence leads to missteps.
@18_rabbit2 сағат бұрын
no, it's much..much more likely that the types of ppl who use hired goons to bust protests, are the same types who use the overall atmo of threats of state-sanctioned force against freedom-seeking ppl, to coerce enough ppl to not vote for the oppo or not vote at all. Similar is passively or indirectly being tried in a slow-roll in the U.S. since 2016, SOLELY by 'conservative' politicians-adjacent folks. And we yanks are thwarting it as best we can.

Definitely an oligarch placed there by Tzar Putin and has to dance to the tune of Putin , no question about that. The thumbscrews will be tightened gradually . The West is at its weakest ever , so unfortunately they will be as helpfull as they were with the Crimea takeover by Russia - they already have a small part of Georgia.
@olliestudio457 сағат бұрын
I'm only 15 mins in but my impression is that other than Georgian Dream, the political spectrum has been extremely fractured and prior to these protests the electorate was apathetic and demobilised. Was this not the case? Because if it was, these policies have only weakened the dominant position of Georgian Dream in the political space. I believe the previous guest actually though that this had been a miscalculation of the opposition this policy would generate. Anyway, another great interview. Thank you both.

Georgia on her mind, and in her heart ❤️ Tinatin Japaridze has an accomplished voice as a singer, and radio personality. But, I think the people of Georgia will remember her voice for her courage. The World must be reminded that Georgians have been waiting for help since 2008. Georgia is not only on Tinatin’s mind, Georgia is in her heart. Thank you, Jonathan…and a special thanks to Ms. Japaridze. Postscript: I read the book written by Ms. Japaridze entitled, “Stalin’s Milennials, Nostalgia, Trauma, and Nationalism”. It was a good read particularly with the current cult of personality in Russia, and a courtroom near you.

These people have not only been electing Georgian Dream uncontested for over 10 years, but allowed their government to throw in jail the only man who is responsible for the country's rapid western development...They deserve to go right back into Putin's and Russia's orbit. Let the Russians have these useless people. P.S. I lived in Tbilisi for 4 years, totally unimpressed....IAs an American, I wouldn't want a single tax dollar more spent on this shithole...

Ms Tinatin Japaridze regards the lack of leadership of the movement as a weakness. Actually I see it as a strength, because anyone who stands out as a leader will immediately be targeted by the government and other malign forces. It is the organic 'leaderless' nature that gives the movement its power.
@Aussie-MochaСағат бұрын
The are revolting because they haven’t got a leader that is capable of providing their national interest. If they did, there would be no need for a revolution. Putin and those that are like him have managed to weaponise democratic election process and legitimacy against western nations.

@PandemoniumMeltDown My point is the Georgian people have been electing and re-electing this Georgian Dream party in uncontested elections for over 10 years! A party backed by a Russian supported Oligarch...They knew full well what this party was about from day 1. They got the government and the policies they voted for. By the way, the real democrat who brought about the most Western, transparent changes and prosperity in the country's history, they threw in jail to rot. I say, let the Russians take back this little shithole of a country. BTW, I'm American and spent 4 years living in Tbilisi....I for one don't want to see a dollar more of my nor my family's US tax dollars spent on this place!

35:50 Seizing the Russian assets of $350 billion in Western banks puts those banks under threat as they hold trillions of dodgy funds from autocratic and dictatorial regimes from all over the world that will be immediately withdrawn causing a run on the banks in the US and the EU and London. Also, no dictator in future will invest their stolen money in those banks ever again, removing the revenue stream that basically funds western banks.
