About Video:
Ultra Talent/Form video will focus purely to showcase unit's full potential. We will throw every upgrade available and see the final product through the end. By the time you finish this video, you will learn two important information:
1. What you can expect from their Ultra Talent/Form
2. How much investment you need to fully grow them
About Cost Table:
It's used to calculate the overall NP or other item investment needed to fully grow them. All investments are categorized into 5 parts:
1. Basic: What you need to unlock Ultra Talent/Form from Lv50. It always contains 15 Dark Catesyes and evolution material for Ultra Form.
2. Primary. The bare minimum to reach the ideal Ultra Form/Talent
3. Secondary. Supplementary investment that doesn't as important as Primary, but still contributes to final product. Ideally, you want to purchase everything in Primary and Secondary
4. Optional. Generally good investment, but it's unrelated to final product or just give small benefit
5. Not Recommended: It's bad investment, sometimes worthless.
About Personal Score:
It's my own personal score about how important Ultra Talent/Form is.
- 1 Star: It's borderline scam. You gain nothing from this investment
- 2 Star: There is clear change and improvement but it's not enough to justify the investment. Mostly either the final product is situational or easily replaceable
- 3 Star: It's good investment but I don't find it appealing or interesting
- 4 Star: A staple final product. Easily change the unit to heavy top class. You can't go wrong with this investment
- 5 Star: The ideal Ultra Talent/Form. Change the unit to the meta unit. Personally I recommend this investment.

4:35 I made a small mistake regarding this HP table due to my misunderstanding of how 2 DEF orbs work together. Ultralan full HP potential is actually 76.8k HP (or 64k HP without DEF Up Talent). Not that it makes any difference tho

Despite UT being units last hole at being good ponos managed to fail NekoLuga only due to the fact that all lugas share the same crippling weakness of low survival. Wave/Surge IMMUNE should be a minimum given to them and resistance talents are a headscratcher.

It’s genuinely such a shame that despite the sheer investment needed for UT they don’t seem to be willing to make them “worth it” in the sense of making the units better somtimes

Nekoluga UT did make him at least decent, but yeah no where near worth the investment required. I’d definitely say he’s gotten a big improvement from ultra talents tho

Actually UF is units last hole at being good and since the nekoluga banner hasn’t gotten one i think wither balaluga or he will get an UF

@@b3ndy420 Balaluga doesn't even have talents yet, and UT and UF are apparently mutually exclusive. As for a Luga who'll get an UF, it's either Nobiluga, Lufalan, or Assassinlan.

Lugas were first designed to be extreme backliners that could only be touched if the frontline of the enemies reached them. They used to be normally untouched by 99% of stages back in the day. I think, to make them relevant again and keep the roles they had initially, ponos should implement a feature that would make them damage immune to long-range attacks with something similar to barriers for Alien enemies, and only have them be killed by frontline enemies

This could also be a great opportunity to add unique abilities to every gatcha banner. Just to make them stand out from one another (not just "high range" "alien specialists"(which there are TWO) "multi-hit" "low cool-down")

This could be viable to an ultra form but it would have to be something like an aku shield so they aren’t 100% immune to all damage in certain situations. I think an extreme cooldown reduction and broken survival options like you said could make Lugas worth it in ultra form.

@@ChickenNugget7 Aku shield will be way harder to balance than a 15k hp barrier that can be immune to enemies like Loris but be broken by common enemies

@@ber093 that’s true but any stage without enemies that do more damage than shield health will be impossible to lose, and to make this not happen the shield would have to suck badly

That wouldn’t help unless ponos makes a percentage based talent, because most reduce by .x amount of seconds, which is nothing for a unit like lugas.

@@ivan0912 ponos has freedom to set the amount of cooldown reduction. if they want to reduce the cooldown by 3 minutes, they are capable of that

The Luga ubers "identity" - No HP - Super long cooldown - Slow attack rate - High cost - Random shitty resist or status immune talent + High range The math isn't mathing that's way too many downsides for something other units sometimes get for free. Tbh my problem with most lugas isnt even that their survival is crap, it's that their performance even while alive is incredibly mid. For something that hard to keep alive you'd imagine they'd be more impactful when they ARE alive. Ultralan got 3 good synergistic ultra talents and is STILL bad, that's how far in the dirt it was. Shoutouts to my man Luffy for doing the impossible and being a top tier luga though that's my captain right there.

Biggest complaint is how ponos has the option to fix any unit in the game, and just choose not to. A forgotten unit is one thing but intentionally releasing ultra talents that dont solve any issues is another. The only possible saving grace is for him to get a 4th form that's actually good which would make his talents benefit him that much more. More KB, faster tba, more health, shorter CD. It's all possible. Hell they could even give him surge. Knowing ponos he'll just get 30% more hp and a 30s faster CD.

@@kingauther7812 Not really. He just has the chance stall his death. Living longer =/= improved survivability. Because the same enemies still swarm him a second or two laters and he dies then. Sure he has the CHANCE to live longer against snipers, but those are rarely situations you'd use him to begin with. Which still doesn't fix the biggest issue, all this to sometimes have him live longer and do what exactly? He doesn't have much of an impact on stages, when he does die it's a long ass time before you can summon him again. Dodge with no knockback removes chances to reposition, all for the unit to ultimately not do very much. It doesnt solve his issues, it just places a bandaid on a severed arm.

@@The_Andromeda_Galaxy you would have to use him to realize that he gets much better with UT (not saying he’s an amazing Uber, or that it’s worth it) Ultralans dodge allows him to finish off his attack, which his attack does good damage as well as having the knockback effect and freezing them. You don’t need knockbacks to reposition when you can just reposition the whole enemy team instead. And also his knockback and freeze for 3 seconds does help a lot.

An unrelated question: If surges can still trigger his dodge ability even when immune, would counter surge units/enemies still be able to use their ability when immune to the surges?

No, this has been proven. Counter surge only works if the unit/enemy is not immune to surge.

no, that's different. surge counter is only active when the user taker surge dmg. giving them surge immunity would disable the ability

id go so far as to say that Summerluga is still better than Nekoluga even with these UTs.... Summerluga's surges can at least be good on peon spam stages, but Nekoluga can't do anything special lol

Very dissapointing - these should’ve been his regular talents. Ponos I think have held back the potential of ultra talents for a lot of units: They have the freedom to like reduce ultralans cooldown to just 90s or something or could’ve made dodge chance 70/80% similar to mola king. If mola king gets that for regular talent there’s no reason ultra talents shouldn’t grant similar benefit to a fragile unit like ultralan. At least some ultra talents actually fix some of the meh Ubers

eh, i want to showcase good side of "bad" ultra talents. i find that everyone just see them worthless as soon as they think it doesn't fit their meta perspective. xskull is the worst offender of that.
