@Rassul13 yeah, and with his omnistrike and miniwave he’d also beat some of the longer range wave enemies like twocan, youcan, and pigeon. in other words, it would do pretty much everything octopus cant and make almost every wave enemy harmless when hes on the field even then, I still dont think he’d be as OP as mitama and dark kasli lmao

@@wxpevtrain9804 wave block cancels the wave attack which allow units behind the wave blocker not be affected by the wave, thus having more health when they reach the wave attacker, basically wave block is to protect backliners, which is what he's defining. Wave immune on the other hand just protects the unit from wave attacks

Garu will forever be my favorite and most prized Uber, I was struggling in early game and has awful Ubers to help me (Ice cat, NekoLuga) and then one day I got him from a free anniversary platinum ticket and I was very happy, and he carried me in every single level, if I never brought him in my loadout I didn’t feel safe, even in traitless stages

Garu may be useless (or at least, easily replaceable) in Uncanny Legend, but is amazing in all the other non relic/ traitless game stages. Thanks to him, I was able to complete bonanza experience 3 (aku) that resisted to me despite having excellent anti aku ubers, and all the behemoth stages introduced so far, including the last ones. Also, it helps a lot in colored multiple stages like the "field" for cateyes. It keeps strong metals at bay until you finish them with critical hits, which is extremely complicated when they are supported by different units such as boosted star aliens. This guy will not help you in finish UL, but as a support unit is incredible, especially if combined with long distance nukers such as Diabolosa and Obliterator and protected by fast recharging front line tankers like Cats in the Craddle. Is the perfect piece to make you invincible in all multi traited hard stages. For relic and traitless, simply use other ubers. That's it. Despite certain obvious similarities, wecannot compare him with Keiji or Gamereon, because they are specialist tankers (blacks, blacks and angels). Garu value is that he can perform close to them but for ALL traits at once and with the miniwave as a plus. This unit is not a generalist, nor a specialist, but an incredibly rare general specialist.

Got him yesterday and leveled up to lvl 50, using him on mega menace, I'm at lvl 57 now and he didn't die once, he can definitely take a beating. Too bad he doesn't have at least curse immunity.

Ponos should have made Garu something more special, Wave Block for example instead of being a tanker unit but the range is relatively high and an attacker unit but the damage is quite low, about Mini wave then it's almost impossible to clean up Peon well on

I feel like he’s only useful in stages before uncanny legends. What’s the point of being relic resistant if you don’t have curse immune, and with a huge majority of relic enemies with curses?

there are actually still many UL stages without Relic enemies, but yeah their existence paired with the lack of Curse Immunity does hurt Garu's viability overall

Just wanna ask, I just got Anubis, Baby Garu, and regular Twinstars, but already have Amaterasu, Chronos, Tyrant, Dredknot, Bora, and Yukimura who are at lv.30 and non-TF. Is it still worth it to invest my EXP on them?

I would say invest on Baby Gary only. While he might not be the best Uber ever, having all-purpose tanker might come handy someday. Twinstars can be replaced with Amaterasu. Anoobis is only useful for his Surge Immunity ability. But that requires True Form and it's locked behind SoL clearance. So you can ignore him

If only this unit had a few stat immunities like other fest ubers or a rare ability like Warp Blocker then he'd be a really well received fest exclusive. Without these, this limits his usage more as an all purpose tanker. Overall an average level uber but a disappointing fest uber.

UberFest/EpicFest TF will surely come. And for Garu, If doesn't want to be too OP, maybe just add curse+warp+surge immune, resistance become insanely resistance, and wave immune replace with wave stop. No stats strengthen is still fine, but maybe even just 10-20% is still good.

Concordo, l'unico problema è che quasi tutte le traduzioni sono letterali al 99% e, come risultato, alcune cose che in inglese suonano sublimi e maestose, in italiano sembrano uscite dal tema di un bambino delle elementari (vedi per esempio come hanno tradotto il titolo del terzo capitolo di gatti del cosmo). Ma tutto sommato bisogna dire che hanno fatto davvero un ottimo lavoro

early game tanking is pretty good but since were talking like late late game he's pretty trash so have fun while you can cuz he'll eventually suck even in early mid game. Tanking is just not good later on it's pretty much only good on stages that forces you to tank but even then it can be easily done with rush units which are good on most stages.

yeah, we rank them based on how the unit is viable for the *whole* game rather than their specialization tanker and critter is the biggest victim of this method (although recently i appreciate critter more after i found out that catasaurus is not as good as what i thought)

@@astablemultivibbrator8538 its true for bcen methodology. tankers work well for stages that require high-hp and good dps units for like daboo. also, bcen prioritizes cc units and meatshields since most players play with not much ubers. however, my, or other players in bckr(dunno much about other language methodology) is quite different. we prefer high-dps units more than cc units compared to bcen. Also, lot of lategame users use ubers a lot(like 5 at least) so the synergy is more prioritized than single-carry ability, and we use meatshields low(about 1~2 average) so tanker's role get more important think its kind of a methodology and playing type difference that changes tankers' tier :)

it's fine. he is good now. late game starts bombarding everyone with wave/surge/LD that tanking now becomes prominent. although his lack of debuff immunity is still holding him down.
