Bap is good against doom, cus bap has easy access to highground to always be out of reach. Plus bap can push damage on him easily. Brig is also really good against doom cus she can counter charge his punches which leaves him dead in the water. Countering the punches with shield bash does require pretty good timing tho. But as a support main, those two are great against doom in my experience.

@@bmoxley16 Problem with Zen, is while discorb orb is powerful, zen is probably the easiest support to kill as doom. He's got that nice round hitbox so your shotgun blasts are easy to land every pellet for max damage. Punch shoot shoot dead zenny.

I rather play against a doom than play with one at this point. It's easier to counter him than do decent team play with most.

Good. One support should be tbh. Most times we feel really useless going up against tanks, Zen helps a lot but also puts pressure ont he second support to do all the healing Zen lacks.

Brig, counters dive, a good bap an kiri can level a dumb tank that thinks rolling on support alone is a good idea, ana is aids to play against as tank without a kiri, zen can heal but it's not that much needed to be made up for when people don't play stupid and zen is actually capable of juggling orb

Zen hard-counter doom's block. It takes his damage taken from 20% to 45%, meaning you will die through block really quick if you get any focus

Im also a controller doom player and used to be terrible with doom as well but I was able to hit masters with him. I stayed up one night watching about 6 hours of zbra and quakedon playing doomfist and was able to go from gold to high plat just off of learning from them. I’ve hit masters now after almost 100 hours on doom but once I got to diamond I realized sometimes (specifically if there is a sombra on the enemy team) there’s nothing I can do and must resort to letting my dps take initiative and let your supports use most resources on dps rather than myself. Unless there’s a sombra or an orisa you typically can go in pretty hard as long as you keep that one escape. If you are still reading I’d love to give u my main tips I keep in my head that helped me climb a little bit. 1) first team fight DO NOT engage AT ALL until you have figured out what the enemy team comp is. No point in using cooldowns within first 30 seconds if you’re just gonna get CC’d 2) ability tracking is more important on doomfist than any other character in the game. Tanks have the smallest margin for error of any role in the game and you are the most important. Staying alive is more important than getting kills. Doomfist presence is scary. As soon as you see cassidy throw that nade/bastion use wheels/ana use sleep capitalize on it 3) movement techs will save your life. Countless time I would have died if I had not been comfortable with movement techs such as punch strafes, punch glides, punch glide 180 block 180 super punch glide, diag punch etc. These come with watching videos and play time. (High sens helps) 4) hard counter teams are almost impossible to play against. ALMOST. The most common team I face is orisa, sombra. You will play into a sombra more than sombras play against a doom. Don’t switch. Learn. Learn how to engage into that team. I like to take off angles and punch in to teams when they have sombras as you can slam out as soon as you hear the hack start and ur momentum will be kept and you’ll still land wherever you slammed towards just with no shockwave. 5) BAITING. This is so important. There is so many things to bait in this game. Sleep dart, rein charge, orisa spear, cas nade etc. An example is baiting rein charges. I like to block in front of a rein so he charges into me. I’ll slam out (don’t punch out or it might be cancelled) and then u can combo rein to take down his health, boop him somewhere, or just bait out resources from the other team to help him out. 6) recognizing your team comp and use the ping system! If you have a pretty decent dive comp you can go in a little bit harder and go for a lot more kills. But say you have a bastion, Hanzo, ana, mercy. I like to think of myself as a displacement and space taker instead of a full on go in. Most of the time I’ll just be responsible for getting value out of my engages instead of actually getting kills. Baiting out tank cooldowns and support cooldowns are huge. With dive use the ping system since it puts a nice shiny red flag on the enemy you’re planning to attack or the enemy that used a lot of cooldowns. It does help! MOST IMPORTANT TIP::::: forgot to put this in. Before you go in. YOU MUST think of how you are going to get out or how you’re going to stall until you get other cooldowns back. Ult is a get out of jail free card but if you’re going to slam in deep or punch in deep think of walls you can use as cover or lanes you can use as cover till you have a for sure escape. There so many more tips but you will get them all through experience good luck

About doom's mobility, I have a good notion of It, but I still can't do the slidepunches that I see while watching Zbra or GetQuaked (the ones where he punches a car and goes flying over, you know?) I like matchups against Orisa, and I really try to keep Doom even against Sombras so I can learn my way out. My sens is maxed out, but I still find It hard to do 180s lol I really liked all those tips and will improve. I've just started playing with Doom and got to Low Plat (using not only Doom) but I can feel that I am disrupting more backlines, hunting more snipers and feeding less kills If you want to play someday, I can add you ^^ Again, thanks a lot man!

@@romanostone6254 also my current favorite tip I’ve been incorporating a lot is a quick charge punch shoot combo. A lot of times if theres no wall in front of you and u have ur punch there’s no point in charging a punch as this will just push ur enemy back and away from u allowing them to escape or be out of efficient range of ur primary fire. Instead of charging a punch just tap L2/LT to quickly punch and only push them a short distance. then you’ll be able to get off 1-2 shots for free (roughly 100 dmg) on the enemy as it immobilizes them very close to u for half a second.

Rein is ideal pick try to bait out bastions wheels and then when his wheels are gone you have about 10 seconds of up time where you can fight. It is very annoying. Otherwise mirror comps are your best bet

Dva and sigma can still do well against zarya, and you could always mirror pick the zarya. Orisa is also still decent same with doom if your giod enough at him. Ram and ball can also do ok. Junk and winton get fucked tho.
