Silver Glance Lake - Cache MACS Trail Time

A great trail upthe America Fork Canyon up by Tibble Fork. You can't go wrong with trail up here. The higher up you, the better the views are of the surrounding mountains.
This trail is one of the first I ever put on KZfaq over 4 years ago. I think my videos have improved a little since, so it was time to redo this hike and capture some spectacular views.

Look at that snow still there. You see some of the best areas. The hiking trail looked fun. Loved those views 👍🏻👍🏻

all that snow is going quick. It's supposed to be in the 100's rest of the week. I wished I had more time to catch views like that. I haven't had much time to get out this year. Take care, Jason!

Yes, it is totally worth the extra climb. My original video showed the true Excalibur. It was a little secret for years. Once it got out and people with no experience started to look for it. It became dangerous, and it is technically in the wilderness area.

Nice trip. I've never been up past Silver Lake. It was nice to see the upper lake even though it was still iced over. Beautiful area. Cool that you made it to the sword. I've heard about it and we were going to hike to it but then I heard they took it down. Well done on your hike. Awesome stuff. Have a great day.

Thanks, Jim. It is a beautiful hike. If we had planned better, we would have staged a car in the canyon over the top. It was really hot, though, so hanging out in the snow was fun.

It was fun to go back. The first time I went, it was just myself and my son. My daughter has wanted to go ever since. It was nice to make that happen. Take care!

We encounter a lot of Overnighters coming and going to Silver Lake, but only two guys beyond that to Silver Glance. Way too many people for me. I would go back again during the week, never a weekend. Take care!
