I lived a block up from the Diner when SLP was being filmed. You’d think all discussion about it would be excited that a movie’s being shot at our diner but, no lie, most I talked to were creased because they couldn’t go in to eat. lol The Diner's always been tops to me - no one does breakfast better, especially when it comes to scrapple + home fries, + their coffee’s the best I’ve ever had. And, as you pointed out, the best item on the menu’s the snapper soup. Through the years, owner after owner, it remains on the menu, tasty af. It did, however, take more than 20 years before I’d even consider trying it, due to the fact that when I was five, my Dad, joker that he was, told me it was made out of tiny pet turtles. I had a tiny pet turtle. He told me I’d nothing to worry about, he wouldn’t make soup out of him… unless, of course, we had a huge snowstorm + ran out of food. So every snow day, before I was off sledding, I hid my turtle in the attic til the roads were plowed.

Chris summed it up at the beginning. Philly guys together for too long and some weird stuff will happen. Love CR, but wtf was this? Great movie but Cooper's apex mtn was clearly A Star is Born. This movie is definitely more rewatchable for sure. I guess you had to be from Philly to get this one 🤷‍♂️

This is the movie that tells me Jennifer Lawrence blew Harvey Weinstein. He produced the movie and all the other actresses considered for the part are ~10 years older than her. This, as well as JLaw being one of the few big actresses to come out against him, makes it look pretty damning
