Hello, Silversand island, is located at Thykoodam. The island's entrance gate is about 150 Meters from the Thykoodam metro station. The iron is about 65 acres in area. But only a certain amount of area is used for construction and by households, because the other areas are wetland. There is already a flat here, which was constructed by the Army Welfare Housing Organisation. And there are two more flats coming one is the Shobha Atlantis and the next one is a project by Nanma Builders. From the entrance till the Army Welfare Housing organisation's Gate, there is a tiled Road almost 500 m in length. Many of the people who are living on this Island usually take this path for a brisk walk in the mornings and afternoon. There is a college located in this Island which is the Asian school of architectural and design innovations. I do not have the correct information regarding the population of this Island. But it is for sure not densely populated. There are a few houses which are abandoned, and there is also an abandoned flat here. This area provides good connectivity with the city as it has national Highway, the Metro and also water Metro available nearby. There is also a park named Kunnara Park which was recently reconstructed by KMRL near to this island's gate and the bridge connecting to this island has a spectacular view during sunset. Tripunithura municipality. Climate conditions of this island, are usually pleasant. We can barely heae the Hustle and tussle of the city and the moving vehicles while in this Island. The island provides a green atmosphere. And is always a better place for living in, when it comes to other parts of the city. During the 2018 floods many parts of cochin city were submerged underwater. But since the water body surrounding this Island is connected to the sea there was no effect of the 2018 floods, on this Island. The water almost touch and reached the island's surface level but not more than that. No people were relocated due to the floods. Overall, silver sand Island is developing place and has a great potential for development in the future. Thank you for Commenting❤️
