+Eric Dolby go 5.3 bud, same price as a 4.8 but it's a night and day difference with the torque curve. easy easy motors to swap into anything. the only electrical attachments to the truck off the motor aside from your battery cable connections is a single bolt underneath the fuse box that holds the engine wiring harness to the fuse block. send your computer off to tune out security settings and plug the harness into your v6 fuse block and boom...motorswap lol

lol when the nv3500 goes im saving for a rpm t56, after the 5.3 goes in its getting a brian tooley racing stage 2 or 3 cam kit and then a single turbo down the road on about 10-12 lbs of boost...a proper silverado SS build bwahahahaha

Cam, intake, intake manifold, longtube headers, x-pipe, cat-delete (or hi-flo cats), muffler delete (or aftermarket), injectors, tune, etc...

Lol ANYTHING is faster than a tbi.

John Beasley its the factory cluster with an SS style overlay and an escalade cluster trim bezel. All this truck had was a magnaflow muffler and 4.10 gears

John Beasley it was the core/hurst short throw shifter. Definitely made the shift throw shorter and more precise. Came with the knob too

Actually yes and it's not complicated. Need clutch pedal quadrant, transmission/engine combo specific flywheel and clutch, clutch master cylinder.

Hey man, was 2000 around 65, 2200 around 70, and 2500 around 75 if I remember correctly

My stock 99 silverado in 5th runs @2000 rpm for 75 mph, if you baby it and stay 55-60 mph the thing will go 30 miles per gallon

I've never seen one with traction control. Most of the time it was only offered on highly optioned gmt800s

John Beasley yes it is, you would need a new rebuild kit and a 4.10 ratio ring and pinion set. If you are not familiar with mechanics it will be a tough challenge for you. My fuel mileage didn't change at all after the gear swap.

Get a hi-flo cat

I ditched my cats cause they plugged up and just put pipes there instead, sold the cats for a decent chunk - take the downstream O2 sensors out, install a spark plug fouler drilled out to fit around O2 sensor, pack the area between with some s/s wool. It sorta messes with the mix at idle but performs and sounds great - mileage increase of prolly 10%

Brad Watkinson it didn't change lol 18mpg before and after. 24mpg after 5.3 v8 swap. Couldn't really tell a big difference until the truck made more power.

yes, all of it is completely custom tunable....i believe there are 10 eq settings to tune instead of the factory 3, woofer output control, and preset tunes for rap, pop, rock, soul, etc
