Will always remember their arrival on world scene. Never saw such a young drummer hit that hard, Daniel's voice was so mature, simple bass but effective lines... Saw them in concert, they were the first part of Red Hot Californication tour... They just killed the stage, everyone agreed they had the performance of the evening, far beyond Red Hot wich were already on a decline.

Brody Poole I think you’re right. I remember listening to an interview -no video -just audio-and at some point the subject of Daniels soon to be pending birthday. He was playfully taunting Ben & Chris-he sounded super excited-especially talking about “No more parents...for him! I think that was early 1997.. Freak era. You know I was an instant big fan -I was I’m my 20’s-i has heard a DJ say they were 15....but I just got back into SC about 2+ years ago. Watching all the great KZfaq performances, interviews-random stuff, and it finally hit me how freaking really young they were-especially when first “discovered” good lord -they look like elementary school kids,Chris looked like he was 10 yrs old! Lightening in a bottle. The way they were discovered-the impossibly fast success- a really legit fantastic debut album -no bad songs. Which led to touring-putting out what is usually very hard-a follow up record as good/better than the first. Thats a feat. (Think Pearl Jam “10”...perfect record. Loved it. And that’s the last PJ record owned. Vitology was unlistenable garbage imo All that.....it’d never happen today-or ever again. Record companies no longer need talent scouts -to send around the world and check out a show. It’s unnecessary and obsolete. Companies have plenty of resources all thanks to the internet. Hell between KZfaq, instagram,FB etc...,thousands,maybe a million bands, solo artists, musicians of all genres can be find Greta Van Fleet.....discovered on FB? Cardi B..i don’t listen to rap-but I do know she was on Instagram and her fame just exploded from there. I’m just glad SC did get discovered -Daniel is (or was) a child prodigy. He wrote Neon Ballroom at 19!!!! Crazy. Brody sometimes I ramble lol...especially it’s subjects I love-and I 💜Silverchair Happy Holidays?
