In this video I play 10 of my favorite Silverchair guitar riffs.
All parts played and recorded by me. No tracks were used from the original recordings.
Silverchair was an Australian rock band formed in 1992 in Newcastle, New South Wales, with Ben Gillies on drums, Daniel Johns on vocals and guitars, and Chris Joannou on bass. Silverchair have sold over 8 million albums worldwide.

most probably because most people don't recognize Diorama and Young Modern as "true" Silverchair albums because the Silverchair everyone knew were kids influenced by grunge inspired riffs

You rock bro'! All those 10 riffs are great. Good job. Leave me out and No Association being played live are pretty much better for me since they sound much wilder than those on the record. I don't know but my ears have been used to Slipknot, Disturbed, S.O.A.D. and Korn songs as well maybe. 😉

Early silverchair riffs are all kind of samey. Later stuff is way more interesting. Cool riffs you missed include: One way mule, Mind Reader, Spawn again, Greatest view, The middle part of Emotion sickness

Should be titled Top 10 Riffs from their first two albums, because there are way more on the later records that blow some of these away! And the guitar player in me is going to nitpick and point out that the hammer on during 'Slave' is 0-3-5 on the A string, not 3-5-0 as you were playing. Nice list overall, but there were some choices on here that I didn't personally agree with. But definitely agree with Slave and No Association in the top two spots!

Great video but I think Lie to Me was a bit off. It’s standard tuning and with the low e and a strings, it’s 3-3, 3-5, 4-6, 1-3 (G minus 5th on a, G, G#, F). Or I’ve played it incorrectly all these years. Still really good video though. Props to you.

Being a life long silverchair fan I'm not trying to be critical, but #9 was a Black Sabbath ripoff from Sweetleaf. Also I didn't see Dearest Helpless on here. Just my opinion, not necessarily fact.
