Top 10 Silverchair Riffs

For my next video, I thought I'd do a top 10 Silverchair guitar riffs. Unfairly labeled a 'Nirvana in pyjamas' in the early years (sounded nothing like Nirvana!), the Aussie post-grunge 3-piece had some decent riffs. Of course, they were clearly influenced by the early '90s Seattle bands like Pearl Jam and Alice In Chains, but how many people can say they wrote an album as good as Frogstomp at age 15?

i’m so happy you made this, i absoulutely LOVE silverchair and i think that more people should know about them. still can’t believe they were 14/15 when frogstomp was made.

I don't think Silverchair were Post - Grunge, they were grunge until Freak Show, after that, on Neon Ballroom they become Post-Grunge with some Alternative Rock

Beautiful work mate! Takes me back to my first time hearing Silverchair way back in the 90s. You did an incredible job capturing the same tone and feel of those songs. Now time to go listen to some Silverchair!

This was awesome!! Silverchair is a painfully underrated band who happen to be one of my favorites. Even considering their younger age, their talent stands out among many other bands. Thanks for including "Dearest Helpless" and "Paint Pastel Princess"; two of my favorites :).

I can't believe that you did this video, it's absolutely incredible, because I like them a lot too I would make another top, because they have an unusual style and there's a lot of great guitar riffs, Ana's Song (Open Fire), Steam Will Rise, Do You Feel The Same, Cemetery and others :D

they might have been associated with grunge acts but they definitely prove everyone wrong after neon ballroom, so much respect to these guys for evolving into something not many bands achieve wich is a sound of their own, another honorable mention riff worthy of the list is "Those thievin' birds"
