So much for the Cat Whisperer's paranoid warnings about how you introduce cats to one another. I started prepping my house when I was bringing home my Abyssinian (Angel) to meet my Tabby (Glock) short of buying a screen door to replace my bedroom door (as he suggested). I just let them mingle like you did, while closely watching them. Glock hissed a bit, but all in all, they are best of friends now and play none stop. Plus, they sleep together on my bed. My little Abyssinian is like no other cat I have had in my life. She is so inquisitive and brave. She follows me around the house like a puppy dog trying to be involved in anything I am doing at the time. What a lovely breed. I am so happy I got her. Plus she was free from the shelter. I got her, never knowing what an Abyssinian was. When I was looking for a friend to keep Glock company, she stood out from all the other cats, by being calm and looking at me inquisitively. So I took her home. I am really lucky and happy she is part of the family now. Nice video. Thanks.

Thanks! Leo and Simba are still the loves of our life - as you said, Abys are different from any cat I have ever seen. Mind you, our (now) oldest, Atrus, is special too. He's a Manx and was dumped on our property and abandoned. Can't believe you got your Aby for free - you're so, so lucky in more ways than one... be prepared for surprised comments from just about anyone visiting you. The first thing people ask when they visit is "what kind of a cat is THAT?"

My family's Abyssinian, also named Simba, was put to sleep yesterday and we've been grieving non stop. This warmed my heart in the best way possible.

Looks just like our Abyssinian Gustav. He's a character and since he lost his upper fang teeth his upper lip gets caught on his lower fang which make him look like he's sneering...lol

Oh Simba is doing just great, thanks for asking :) He is 8 years old and still a kitten... so is his brother Leonito!

We got him from Abayomi Cats, but I think she is not active any longer... hope you find a breeder :)

Thank you for posting the video, I absolutely loved it. Simba didn't take long to settle in? Leo was unsure from the start, Simba just wanted to explore and play. Hahaha. Beautiful.

Depends on the cats and their tempers more than anything. Abbys are particularly social and friendly.
