Steve Grace is is know for using huge heads and knows what it takes to get them to fly but even he had no clue as to why the huge Great White flew so great. Watch Steve shoot with a lighted nock and see how good the Great White flys. #broadheads #archery #bowhunting

The days of pulling heavy bows are over. Most guys should shoot lower poundage with high performance limbs which will enable them to shoot correctly. Why pull 60 when carbon limbs will let you pull 45 & outperform the 60 pound limbs? I know the ILF bows are ugly mine included but the performance & ability to draw less weight & gain performance is amazing. My buddy Todd blew thru an elk pulling 38 pounds on a Border bow. These bows let him hunt with chronic shoulder problems. Just some thoughts.

Heavy bows still outshine the light ones

@@TurkeyBowMaster300some of my bows border included all of which are under 45lb will perform the same as your 55 lb bows so how heavy do you want to shoot it just doesn't make sense to me I can hold longer on a buck as well as be much more accurate with 43 lb and do the same job as your 55 pound bow so my question is why would you want to shoot heavier weight there's no need Thirty or forty years ago it was the only option not so today

As stated man’s weight bows. He didn’t struggle even a little nor did he half draw like many do. He can handle the weight. Next I’ll say some don’t want to shoot carbon limbs. That ilf is newfangled garbage imo and looks awful. Just not why we shot traditional. You guys do you, let others do them and stop trying to convince everyone you know something others don’t. It’s the other way around.

What an awesome head. Like a flying machete! With a properly built arrow these would be devastating on my compound. I prefer slower and slightly heavy arrows for my 60# draw weight. These should fly like mortar rounds. 👍👍👍

Interesting to hear the 2 schools of thought you have on the broadheads. Love the tree stand that's up above the grill. The bleeder on the Great White has got to be insane! Only way to get a bigger cut than that is to sharpen up a spade shovel and launch that! I shoot a 67# compound with a 30.5" draw. In your opinion what Simmons head would you recommend or shoot with that?

Landshark 160 is a great choice for a compound. You will probably have to move up in spine and you might even have to use feathers, but that is not a bad thing. Feathers tend to pass through easier, and that leads to shorter recovery because the deer doesn't run as hard as they do when an arrow is dangling from their side

Great video! Question what do you think about 48lb long bow slick stick with 700gr 30%EFOC with the great white broad heads at 25in drawl length? I'm using 500 shaft 28in arrow 200gr inserts are long like a footer 3to1 single bevel now. Thanks

I think you would be fine as long as you get them very sharp. You might would be better off trying a smaller Simmons first. Something like a Timbershark

I was hoping to stay with 250gr that is what I'm using now and my arrows are working really good just don't get good blood with the 3 to1 blades at 1 1/8 wide just really like the simon's great whites!

@george2099 Go for it. Simmons really penetrate great. Another option is the glue on treeshark at 2" wide. I believe it weights around 250 when mounted on an 100 grain steel taper. The great white weights right around 236.

You might be right on the edge of bad flight with everything and that big head pushes you over. I've always tuned for big heads and from my experience the great white was not the hardest to get good flight
