I've been getting a lot of questions about what people can be eating to support their health right now. Here are my top 10! I highlight why and how you can incorporate them into your meals.
I just want to be clear, by no means am I saying anything we eat will prevent us from getting sick but there are certainly things we can do to support our health during this time. Do you agree?
What foods do you think I left out? Leave them in the comments down below.

A weird upside to being vegan right now: all the processed stuff is out at the store but there's still tons of fresh fruits and veggies!

We thought the same thing! We drink coconut milk and my husband took a picture of the milk aisle. EVERY dairy product was gone. However coconut milk was fully stocked! We’re also GF and all the regular bread was gone but tortillas and GF bread we’re hardly touched! It’s great! 😂

People seem to run to the meat and processed foods. These items always run out first (aside from toiletries). I brought my cart up to the counter last weekend full of produce (fresh & frozen), legumes, rice, pasta, etc. the cashier gave me this, “where is the meat, dairy and processed foods look.” I purchased more than usual but told her this is my normal shopping list. The only thing I couldn’t find was toilet paper. It’s good to be vegan👍🏽🍏🥬🍌🥔🥑🍓🥥🥦🥕🍋where is turmeric emoji?!?!

I was cashing out with the regular grocery haul full of lots of fresh produce, plant milk, bulk grains, nuts and seeds, and the cashier (he was from Iraq) says "you must not be from here, you eat so healthy, this is how the Europeans eat" implying that I must not be American and honestly it was the biggest compliment I could've ever received.

@James Parker You are delusional, mate. We have evolved to our current state by eating meat. It has always been a part of a diet and you don't get all the amino acids and B12/D vitamin from just eating fruits and plants. The fact that only a fraction of archaic humans lived on merely eating plants says it all.

If you shred ginger and put it in a cotton cloth, you make a poultice. Put that on the infection and it will draw out the infection. I learned this from Barbara O'Neil. Look up her poultice videos for more.

@@Tom-sx4tw My personal experience is that I had an infection in a very sensitive area. It would puss and bleed once every 3-4 days, it was painful to say the least. I had this infection with all of this pain and fluids for over 9 months. I tried many other home remedies, but nothing worked. As soon as I mad the ginger poultice and applied it to the infected area, the pain started to go away and in less than a week the lump and infection was gone. I still had to do hydrotherapy (hot and cold water treatments) every day for 3 months to finally clear up this tiny little infection or cut in my skin.

Yes to sauerkraut, even though I make it myself! I love it and it's so easy. In case anyone is interested there's a great group on Facebook for fermenting, they are sooo helpful with answers and recipes. It might be a UK group? But doesn't matter, join in. I currently have a batch of purple cabbage with caraway seeds, cranberries and goji berries, so yumm! And I love doing a batch with cabbage, carrot shredded, and ginger, don't keep that one as long, the sweetness of the carrot can make it get yeasty on top. Also try adding any spices you want, cumin, turmeric, pepper. You can experiment with various whole seeds like cumin, cardamom, caraway, fennel, all are good for us. When I make it I keep a small notepad and write down the date and amounts of what I put in, then label jars with masking tape. Then you can add to your notes when you try it.
