Simon and Garfunkel the boxer music reaction. The combination of Paul Simon and Art Ganfunkel has blessed up with some.of the greatest music ever!
This song has an incredible melody and the sing along lie lie lie lie or la lala la(however you choose to interpret it),is one of the most memorable sing alongs in music on par with Hey Jude by the Beatles.
Enjoy this Simin and Garfunkel the boxer reaction.

"A man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest". Love that line

"... and he carries the reminder of every glove that laid him down or cut him till he cried out in his anger and his shame "I am leaving, I am leaving!" But the fighter still remains." Best line in the whole song

Paul Simon performed this song on the first episode of Saturday Night Live after the World Trade Center attacks of September 11, 2001 with about a dozen of New York City police and firefighters standing behind him. still dusty with debris. It was one of the most stoic and powerful things I ever watched.

"Still a man hears what he wants to hear, and disregards the rest." Boy oh boy, is that ever our current times in a nutshell, or what?

If you describe The Boxer as "diamonds in your ears", you'll be speechless when you hear Bridge Over Troubled Water. It is a musical MASTERPIECE.

I've heard this song hundreds of times, and it still gives me chills each and every time. The variety of instrumentation combined with the absolutely gorgeous harmonies and soulful lyrics is just extraordinary. The first time I heard this as a teen it was almost like a religious experience.

Paul Simon is one of the greatest songwriters of the modern era, 1960 to today. You could react to a different Paul Simon song each hour for a week and not find a bad song.

Paul knew as soon as he heard them sing together for the first time that they had something very special. Can't think of another duo to match their magic harmonies.

It seems to me that what we hear in Simon and Garfunkel singing together is authentic humanity.

The Boxer is really a metaphor for the plight of this young man. He remembers every glove that hit him. Life has hit this young man hard and he remembers, like a boxer would. It is strength of character that allows a boxer to get up and possibly take another hit. Such is life. Such is the brutal winter and the lack of jobs and the lack of friends. He is just comparing the life of this young man to a boxer. This is my opinion and I believe others might agree.

Pure poetry to music.... This whole album was my favourite to listen to at night and fall asleep as a kid... So it still makes me feel all cosy and sleepy now when I hear it!.... The one line at the end of this that starts "in the clearing stands a boxer"... Well whenever he says "I am leaving I am leaving but the fighter still remains"...that bit always gives me shivers to this day! 🤗

What a great duo. I've listened to them since their first hit. A magical sound that woos you into the story. Try them in their cover of El Condor Pasa.

This duo did harmonies as well as the best in the business. It’s just soothing and wonderful to close your eyes and take it all in. They could do it on stage as well as in the studio. Great song. Great reaction 😘
