I was on Centre Court this year for excellent matches - the men's quarters, women's semis, this women's final and the men's final. Out of all of these matches, I thought the strongest individual player and the best performance game-wise was Simona. As an American who is a Serena fan, as soon as I saw Simona play in the semis on Thursday I told my mom who was with me that I think she'll beat Serena. Simona's shots are accurate, powerful, and precise. Serena definitely didn't play her best on Saturday and made too many unforced errors but Simona was just on fire. Both women gave extremely graceful post-match comments on the court afterwards and I'm happy for them. Serena had played very few professional matches before this match and to to still make it to the Wimbledon final despite of this is no small achievement. Both women deserve praise. Well done ladies!
