A 72-hour trip to the historical Orchid Lake in Oxfordshire turns into a red letter day, as I catch 42 fish including one of the best-looking day-ticket carp in the UK, Morgan's at 36lb. I've fished this water on and off for almost thirty years. I talk about what I've learnt during this time, covering best swims and tactics to try as well as which fish are the main targets of the anglers. This is part one of two films on Orchid, the second coming next month when I look at surface fishing and manage to land the biggest fish in the lake known as Delilah.
