Carp Fishing ~ Willow Park Fishery, CARPOLOGY session

Күн бұрынI head to Willow Park Fishery in search of one of the many carp that swim around in the crystal clear water there. Knowing that the water temperature would be low I decided to fish maggots and boil crumb along with lots of other techniques. I meet up with Luke from Carpology Magazine and we try our best to catch a cold water carp. We cover tactics including, zigs, solid bags, maggots, watercraft, bait etc and I give a short review of my new Sunblessa Bivvy Light.

I used to fish this venue a little. Always caught on the gravel, not the bigger ones those. The first swim as you walk around the bay and exit it, has command of bay( if no one fishing in or round the bay) and out into the main lake. Caught many on the gravel - stick and active8 back in the day. On that session also caught to the opposite bay margin, right on the end of the bay as it joins main lake. Always signs of fish in the bay when I looked. Always thought they were the smaller ones, so not targeted bay directly. Fished before zigs were a thing. Worth a zig in the bay when fish showing on top.

Good to see u bank on the bank pal thats a nice looking lake its tough scratching a bite in winter the little zig rig looked very good cheers bud tight lines

cheers mate. I think if we had another night we could have made it happen but it’s tough going to a lake for the first time in winter. I may go back to settle the score!

Love that lake , did 24hrs there a few weeks back , had 4 stunning carp , all different, beautiful colours 🎣🎣🎣👌🏼

I love this place it doesn't cost me a penny and fish all year round 2 40s this year I will defo be back ! Always frozen in winter which is a bit of a bummer tight lines peepsxx

Hi mate, been coming to the island for 45yrs now and done loads of boat fishing in the Solent and never ever seen that exposed bank off Cowes....The top of it looks man made 🤔

Shame on you Simon just another commercial carp fishing vlog I used to like watching your vlogs back in the day but if there all going to be like this probably not oh black zigs don't really work that well in winter especially sat on the top now the light levels are lower and the sun lower in the sky yellow works well and doesn't glare or glint and fished about a foot below the surface especially nr weed beds had a brace of upper double commons out last week over 24hrs on our syndicate lake with this method freezing cold and wet and windy I do like winter carping so go back to the old style of vlogs dude

CARP FANATIC put it this way fella, i’ve spent nearly £2000 on camera gear and this video took more than 8 hours to edit and I put it out for free for you to watch. If I choose to except free stuff in return for my time and money spent then I will do so. Whether or not you watch is up to you but please understand that you pay nothing to watch these videos so a few products here and there isn’t really that bad is it?

CARP FANATIC fair play mate I get your point and I know people hate advertising etc but it’s just the way things work. Most KZfaq channels once they get to a certain size have a few sponsors etc. It just helps keep the channel going 👍
