Awesome content! I work for my own, so nobody tells me to work on my human skills. It requires a lot of awareness to keep "training" my human skills. These video's definitely help me doing so by setting the time to think about them. At least I can practice them at home :)

here's a an half digested thought for you. hard skills and soft skills are just two faces of the same medal, cognitive flux. Communication and empathy are ways to process information just as structuring things you learn, hard as they may be. At a basic level they both regard decoding concepts . So i can get why Sinek is so passionate about it. Being a good communicator is a tought job. Understanding what others mean, handle their inabilty to express and their limits as well as your own ecc

It’s too bad that companies will never practice what this is preaching. It’s all about who you know and not what you do. Always has been and always will be unless you go out and do “it” yourself.

We busy to improve our hard skill but forget human skills. The Human skill that separate high achievement n low achievement.

The key point imho is "we all give feedback in the way we like to receive it". I'm becoming more and more aware that people (me included) describe what they see with the vocabulary they've developed over the years. That's why I'm changing (broadening) mine. It can thus also be disappointing to see (if you develop yours) that with some people you don't resonate any longer if they don't develop theirs. Your 'language' changes to much over time.

HUMAN KILLS Dear Simon, we love you and we love your content. Please use your platform for one time to speak up about the genocide happening now in Gaza. For the humanity and kindness in your heart, use your platform to request STOP the war on Palestine, stop bombing refugees camps! STOP MURDERING KIDS! Please 💔

It used to be our parents and community used to teach us these skills before we all stopped going to church services, before they stopped teaching through television programs that taught values, respect and morals.

I've been following Simon Sinek for about 6 months now, and his writings and talks have tremendously helped me. However, when I try to delve deeper into the person, I find that he's a lone figure; I can't find his team anywhere. With a capital of over $18 million and no job creation or sharing, I'm starting to become disillusioned that the empathy he preaches isn't practiced, not to mention that he's not known to have a partner or children.

Great that you've learned and grown. If I give the benefit of the doubt: I'd like to think he walks the talk in his organization. And protects his intimate circle by means of non-disclosure.

@@SamenWerkend Yes! is better to give the benefit of doubt, and, if doesn't walk the talk, anyway, we may do it better! thanks...
