How to convince my employee to accept positive reinforcement when most of the time she says that is her job and almost never accept the idea that she is good at what she is doing and the positive feedback is passing through her like unnoticed!?
@AkeSatia12 сағат бұрын
Yes. Certainly, they are different virtues. Meekness is a response... a willingness to endure a burden. Humility is a disposition... a belief that one has more to learn. - A display of confidence. And... this episode is incredible!! :)

I believe the game for the companies are infinite, but not for the people. The reason for the urgency of winning is the mindset of I will not be an executive, employee for long I better get this right while I'm here. Or our shareholders won't be alive forever, we better give them a return fast so they won't invest their money elsewhere. Life and loyalty is finite, that is the factor in your business equation.

I want to say " Amen" to that

The "Millenial Problem" are parents who grew up poor, struggling, with nothing, worked hard, became successful and didn't want their kids to experience what they have. That is why you have an entitled generation.

After that, Amselem wrote: "With fingers crossed, the old rabbit's foot out of the box in the attic, I will be sacrificing a chicken in the backyard to Moloch . . ." In the given context, it becomes evident that the line was not meant to be taken literally and rather expresses a cautious hope that the objectives would be achieved it was an expression of optimism... a cautious hope. and Amselem chose Moloch. lol he just used Moloch. And what kind of agents are these bothhanded phonewriters?
@baileyhodges012 сағат бұрын
This kinda happened with my sibling and myself. I found out from my mom, after my sibling went through a really harsh spot in their life, that they had apparently called me to talk about this, and i got off the phone. For context. It was 11pm and i was dead tired and half asleep. I recieve the call, i say hi. They seem normal and say they were just calling to talk for a bit. I explained i was really exhausted and couldnt maintain a conversation at the moment. So i asked if they could call me the next day. I dont think they called me but it was over 2 weeks later that i found out from our mother that my sibling wont call me for serious matters anymore. They feel they cant trust me to be there for them. They feel that i wasnt able to support them and now they avoid leaning to me for that support. I had no idea and now i stress over every word they say when we are on the phone. Im big on trust and i have lots of my own trust issues. It hurt to hear they couldnt rely on me when they needed someone.

This is a good insight. But the challenge here is, people having confidence should understand and know how to control emotions too, and that’s when you’ll be quiet to listen.

I like how she said managing glucose is the first step. For me, it was the last step. I had optimized my life to a point where I was wondering why I wasn't getting the results I should be getting and finally found out I was super spiking my blood sugar with carbed up protein bars and had crazy soda cravings the rest of the day holding myself back.
@TravisPluss14 сағат бұрын
Exactly. Employers don’t understand this. Especially during the ‘08 GFC, employers wanted nothing to do with millennial new hires - let alone train us. Now we are playing catch up with more education, but less practical knowledge of the real world.

The negative news being rammed down kids throats all the time doesn't help. The BS climate agenda. Holding up the doom goblin Thunberg and the senile curmudgeon David Attenborough as fonts of knowledge instead of laughing at them. The Covid hysteria when seemingly knowledgeable adults were spreading lies and misinformation about a new strain of flu. Children need calm, nurturing upbringings. These invariably produce well rounded kids.

When my almost 30 year marriage ended, I broke into 1 million little pieces. Long story short, a lot of people were asking me where were your friends, and some were saying friends aren’t there when you need them which is a comment I hear a lot. Here’s a fact; I’M THE ONE WHO DID NOT INVITE ANYONE INTO MY PAIN! Many times when you hear of friends, not being there is because the friends were not told or invited in. When people finally found out what I was going through, even those who can barely tolerate me, showed up. Yes, everybody showed up. We’re adults, why can’t we just say I need help? There’s no reason that people have to read between the lines or try to read your mind. The person who is suffering is the one who makes the choices and decision in the relationship. Let’s be honest about that.
