Electrolytic Capacitor (680uf)
Resistors (10k, 1k, 500E, 100k Ohm Potentiometer)
Breadboard
Mini Water Pump (3-6v)
Mini Water Tube

Hello, how do I choose the same micro USB breakout board you have to ensure everything works properly? Nice video btw

The USB breakout board is just for supplying power.

The pump was connected in between the VCC and the collector pin of the driving transistor. You can find the detailed schematics on the project page.

Btw, your soil moisture sensor has two components. (The one that has the legs and the other one). Do these always come together? Because how do I know if what I buy will come with both? Also, does it have to be an arduino sensor?

In the video we have used a 5V usb input . But you can also use appropriate battery.

The circuit is basic analog circuit. It doesn't use any microcontroller. So you don't need any code.
