I would recommend going with a capacitive sensor instead of a resistive one. Resistive sends voltage through the soil which causes it to corrode quickly. Capacitive doesnt make electrical contact with the soil/moisture so it will last longer.
@Circuitdigest22 сағат бұрын
You are right. The resistive sensors cab get easily damaged due to corrosion. Capacitive sensors don't have that issue. But be careful when using common capacitive type sensors, some most of them have either PCB design error or some may use wrong version of 555 timer which can't be used with 3.3V logic and some others may even miss the voltage regulator.

Error : Cannot communicate with the tool. Wrong tool selection or check tool power supply or check that a previous session is closed. Error : < PROGRAM MEMORY programming failed. how can i solve this error
@Circuitdigest22 сағат бұрын
If it says it can't connect with the tool, try installing the proper driver for the ST Link. And make sure you are using an ST link, because there are plenty of other programmers that looks like the ST link v2 mini clones.

Sir, this is my first time on this channel. Sir, I made a car detection project using Edge Impulse, but when I uploaded it to the ESP32-CAM, I encountered many initializer errors during compilation. Sir, please tell me why this happened when everything was auto-generated.

@mohammedrahmansherif8492 күн бұрын
check from which variable the detection is coming from, and use if condition to check the class. Finally, use digitalWrite() to perform HIGH & LOW operations. Thanks!

Nice video and great detail on the website link for the build. Thank you! What size SD card would you recommend for say 1 year of logging? You're obviously located in the southern hemisphere. Wherever you are based, the humidity is incredibly high... 91%. You must have been sweating in January 2017. Need to drink plenty of liquids. Can this design be easily turned into a moisture meter ie where you stick 2 probes into a wall or timber to measure the moisture content?
@Circuitdigest22 сағат бұрын
Since it is just text value we are storing any statard values such as 8, 16 or 32 Gb could be enough. And yes you can use this with a moisture sensor with some code modification.

The JSN-SR0T4 can only sense upto 4.5mtrs. You might need to try some other sensor with more detection distance.

@Circuitdigest6 күн бұрын
This is a genuine problem for us, ideally participants should purchase the dev boards on their own and build the project. Refund for the board will be done after project submission. But to support people in building projects we will take leap of faith with certain participants and order the board on behalf of them

Excellent video. Thank you. Few questions: 1) do you know if the libraries included in VScode? 2) Any idea how far can such a detection work with this camera?
@Circuitdigest21 сағат бұрын
You can use the same library with VScode and Platform IO. the detection range would be very small since the ESP32 can only process image with lower resolution. if you increase the resolution the frame rate will be reduced drastically and the ESP32 may even crash with very high resolutions.

Will the accuracy with esp32 be lower or only slower compared to a solution on RP or PC? Which Yolo model is used for this ESP32 application?
@Circuitdigest7 күн бұрын
The frame rate and accuracy will definitely better on RP or PC. We selected ESP32 cam because its a low cost option
@SA-oj3bo7 күн бұрын
@@Circuitdigest it is a great solution but I not understand why the same model would be less ac curate on an esp32, slower I agree, but less accurate? Sure?
@Circuitdigest7 күн бұрын
@@SA-oj3bo During training the model we reduced the training cycle so as to reduce the code size and make it easy for esp32. ideally if you need better accuracy you should provide more training datasets and use high epoch but this is not feasible on a small processor like esp32. also we cannot use a better resolution camera with esp32
