Simple and Elegant DIY Desk Lamp - Great Weekend Project

Hey guys! First of all, please support my channel by SUBSCRIBING and LIKING the videos! That means a lot to me really!
In order to build this lamp you will need very basic and cheap elements:
- Wooden Planks
- Vintage Light Bulb
- Bulb Socket with cable (preferably coated with brown fabric)
- Switch
- Electrical Plug
After that follow the instructions in the video to see how to assemble it in a very easy way.

Just what I was looking for ,is the switch ok for 220volts? Is it the normal mini switch from eBay?

Hey JssPlay, yes the switch I used is 220V. But you can use any switch you want. (Of course you need to make sure it is compatible with the electricity you are running through it)

Hey Gregory! Thank you for reaching out! I used a simple On/Off switch (single pole single throw) that I got from my local hardware store. So unfortunately i don’t have a link for it, however you can use any old / retro on/off switch for this build. Brushed bronze switches would look really nice on it.

Hey! Thank you for reaching out! There is no specific bulb, you can use any bulb you find, however I would recommend to choose a bulb that is not too bright as it might be annoying on a desk.

What’s the name of the stuff you used to paint the wooden planks ? Primer?

Hey Michellle! Thank you for reaching out! The paint I used is called lacquer paint and it is usually used to give wood a high gloss finish while also protecting it! I hope you enjoyed the video, if you did don’t forget to leave a like!! This would mean a lot to me!
