This is the first in a series of videos I'm making designed for the true beginner woodworker. This video goes step by step on how to build this bird feeder. Every woodworker at some point made their first project, and I’m confident in saying that the majority of these first projects were built using mostly hand tools. Why am I concentrating on using mostly hand tools in this video? First, hand tools are safer to use than power tools. But let’s put that aside, building any woodworking project is just using a series of woodworking techniques and these techniques are better learned utilizing hand tools then power tools. The first few videos in this “Beginners Guide To Woodworking” will be dedicated to the development of woodworking techniques with the use of hand tools.

This is by far the best video (imho) on KZfaq on how to build a bird feeder. The others just whizz through the process waving their fancy high powered equipment and talking at breakneck speed as they leap from one stage to the next. In marked contrast, you stick pretty much to basic tools and explain and work through each stage at a sensible pace. Thank you so much. I can't wait to get started !

It cost way to much money to buy all of the stuff needed for some 70 + year old man like me to do So I just go to Amazon and buy all of my bird feeders. I did give you a like 210

I here what you are saying. If you don't already have at least some tools or plan on further pursuing woodworking, purchasing the item could be your best route. As for myself, woodworking is more than just a hobby, it is my therapy. Thanks for your comment.

If I were your neghor I would ask and pay to to make me a ground bird feeder . I just bought a Gray Bunny one and it is way to small and does not have a roof on it.
