This is a simple drum sander production video.
It's made using scrap woods and abandoned furniture (MDF).
I will also make an automatic motorized feed mechanism later.
I have linked the used parts purchase site in the description section below.
In addition, i will send you a drawing (png file) to help with your production.

These days, if "e-mail address" is included in a comment, the comment is automatically classified as spam and the comment is automatically deleted. 요즘 댓글에 "메일주소"가 들어가면 댓글이 스펨으로 자동 분류되어 댓글이 자동으로 삭제됩니다. Thanks for this excellent DIY tool. So simple and convenient to make. I followed with a slight different dimension. Work is in hand. Thinking to make two extra drums of different grits, the shaft mount top cap will be modified. Thanks, Regards & Love from India. Liked. Subscribed.

Thanks so much i really liked your sander. I am going to try to make your design. Do you think this can be made slightly wider to handle 20-24 inch wide materials like a cutting board? This would greatly help in finishing after glue ups.

Отличный станок,только я бы добавил к нему каретку. Не всегда требуется шлифануть длинную деталь,бывают и короткие,и её кладут на каретку с упором за вал и за ручку вытягивают каретку на себя. Для этого у мотора должен быть реверс,так как вал должен будет вращаться против часовой стрелки,да и по технике безопасности этот вариант лучше,особенно если детали тонкие.

I am planning to build this. But I have a question. Is there a practical method to change the sanding paper? Not because it is worn out but sometimes you need to use different grades. With this setup, you either have to disassamble the cyclinder or untape the sand paper although it still has life in it.

Nice idea and thanks for sharing the measurements, the only thing you could show with the caliber was that the faces were perfectly parallel. Can you confirm it for me? So I copy the project 😂😉
