As an oily gal I never touch up I feel like adding makeup looks cakey by the end of the day, so I love a blotting paper. makeup stays put but oils are removed. She’s fresh and ready to continue with the day.

I too don't touch up and just use blotting paper. I use powder foundation that can look a little heavy the first hour or so, so I like how it looks throughout the day when the oils come through and it gets a little glowy, even tho I'm not into the super glowy look. It gives me a healthy glow.

I am a "touch up" girl and have no problems pulling my make up bag out at my desk at work and checking my make up (usually after lunch so I can do a quick 'food in teeth' check also!).

I've been a watcher for a long time. I have adhd and I see it in you, Lauren. It can severely impact your mental health. Women often present differently than we would typically think. Needing to be routine-oriented, having an out-of-sight, out-of-mind attitude, making "piles" of clutter, not being able to maintain organization even though you desperately want to, sensory issues...these are all symptoms of adhd in women. I really think you should look into it. It could be really, really eye opening. 💜

Back in my younger years (I'm 60 now), I swore by those oil-blotting papers and occasionally pressed powder. I was very oily back then and wore a lot more makeup than I do now. The "glow" wasn't in style in the 80s/90s, at least where I lived; too bad since I had it naturally!

I really love these casual, chill sort of tutorial videos you put out sometimes, I love product reviews and sale recs and hauls as much as the next person but this was so nice to just munch some popcorn and hang out while you did a nice casual look. Watching this while putting on my makeup was such a treat today! I'm with you on the no touch-ups. Unless its to put on more lip product. Even when I get super sweaty walking to work, I use a paper towel to blot off the sweat and then forget about anything else

I don’t really touch up, I’m oily and have a physical job so I usually blot with toilet roll and for me it’s the mascara smudge that I have to keep an eye on most. My most recent buys have been the NARS cream bronzer which I’m loving, and also the Fenty Diamond Bomb and also Pat McGrath mothership 1, can’t wait to try them!

for tiny eyeliner brushes i REALY recommend going to a craft store and picking up some tiny angled brushes. so inexpensive and precise. you could do a whole video using paint brushes tbh. so many of them are similar shapes to what we use for makeup. that’s a great video idea btw if that trick hasn’t already made the rounds on tiktok i bet you could start it. you’re welcome ;p jk but also seriously

To answer your question, when I had oilier skin that got really shiny & made my makeup "turn" halfway thru the day, I definitely touched up. I carried blotting papers & usually had to reapply blush, powder & eyeshadow (which had usually faded and/or creased) I did not wear any liquid foundation in those days because it always looked bad after a couple hours. I usually touched up at lunch time in an 8 hour work day or 6 hour school day. The only makeup I carry in my purse now is a compact mirror, a clear lipbalm & whatever lip products I applied originally that day.

Lauren I 1mil % relate to the mental health struggles out of nowhere! It's so annoying & I always feel it creeping in (like now) & I hate it! I noticed that phytosurgence eye shadow looks like the shade smoky pearl from your seatalk palette! That shade & dolphin tail are my absolute favs for when I'm feeling down & have to force myself to do makeup 🥹🫶

I usted to have major oily skin and acné so I used copious amounts of rice paper sheets. I reapply lip balm, gloss or lipstick several times a day, and these days, as I'm 40+ and not as oily, I use refreshing spray. And when I go to the bathroom I wash My hands throughly, put on hands créam, pop in a mint or some gum, reapply lipstick and walk out refreshed.

Touch up girlie here. I work from 8am to 5pm and I touch up at work about 2 times, sometimes 3 times if I'm more oily. I'll either blot with a tissue and then powder or just powder.

I really feel this! I have waves of difficult mental health with no real explanation why. In fact it’s often when everything is going well! So frustrating. Makeup and exercise are two big outlets for me. I rely on those routines to keep me grounded.

I used to touch up 1-2 times a day bc I have oily skin. However, since I stated using Danessa Myrics yummy skin balm, I legit stay oil free all day at work. And I’m not even joking when I say that made holy grail status pretty immediately. When oils start coming through, it’s almost like a pretty dewy look as opposed to my face looking like an oil slick.

Lauren, you brought up not wanting to talk about mental health today in a way that hit home. I have had a similar experiences with deeper feelings in my life, too. You never need a reason to feel the way you do. You do not need to justify having emotions to anyone, ever. When those strange moments hit you and you don't feel your best, that is perfectly okay! Just allow those emotions to exist with you like a good friend who came over for a quiet cup of coffee. You're both just sitting there together, allowing what happens to happen, without fighting to get your friend out the door. They will leave when the time comes, and that is something to keep in mind when those strange times pop up. Your feelings will turn over into new ones, be they "good" or "bad" to you. How you feel, at any point in time, is temporary. Sometimes those moments linger and will stick with you for days, even weeks. Sometimes, the emotions feel so big and so intimidating that the most you can do is just ride them out. But they do change! Keep staying strong and fight through those tougher times when things feel confusing or overwhelming! You are beautiful no matter what those feelings tell you on any given day. Keep up your amazing work!

I have combo/oily skin - I touch up once in an 8-hour workday, on my lunch break. But if I have plans in the evening, I'd definitely have to touch up one additional time between work and going out. Love the lys pressed powder for touchups (:

I can totally relate to sometimes not being in the right mental health headspace without a reason. I can relate to not washing my brushes enough (even doing makeup with my hands after washing them ofc bc my brushes are so dirty). Thanks for being so vulnerable with your videos. As a dry skinned gal I never touch up anything but my lips occasionally with a tinted balm. But when I was oily in my younger years I’d touch up with powder 1-2x a day lightly.

I usually check my makeup throughout the day, but I will touch up once after lunch. Sop up the oil on my nose with a tissue, and toss a little powder on. That will get me til 5 when I leave. But yeah, just once. 😊

For basic but beautiful eye looks I've been loving sparkling and simmering by lorac. I also really love Warm Wishes from Sigma. I didn't love Lorac's formula in the past but those 2 little palettes are so good. It's tempted me to want Nor, Soleil and Fairytale forest but I'm trying to rein it it a bit. Lol. I remembered how much you recommended the new Lorac palettes and I finally tried them. I love them so much.

I am pretty oily so I touch up every 2 hours at work. I use blotting papers mostly but if I need to be re-blurred I will use the Kosas powder as well.

Cream blush and studying it with a powder bronzer because it is the same aesthetic and almost an ombre to the blush it's beautiful you should try it sometime it looks really nice not only does its touch everything down and give you great bronze but it never gets patchy I really like the sigma one with the Milani powder

I try to brush my teeth after lunch at work so I bring my makeup bag with me. I mostly check to eyeliner bleeding under my eyes which happens a lot. Then a touch of lipstick and some hand cream.

I love that rose inc Delphine blush too, that shade came in a Sephora all clean bundle that I got for the mascara tbh but now I want more shades of that and love the warm neutral shade almost blonzer vibe.. obsessed w bronzer but have gotten away with just that blush before!

I never touch up. I also work in a field where basically no one else wears makeup. So, I already feel on the 'outside' for wearing makeup. I try and wear products that at least fade evenly, so it's not like I'm halfway through my day with giant wonky patches.

You’re so freaking pretty, Lauren! I love mixing and matching foundations as well. I have dry skin and my Make Up For Ever HD Skin foundation is just a little too thick and matte for me, but today I mixed it with the Maybelline Dewy and Smooth foundation which is normally just too slippy and slidey on its own. Together they created such a pretty satin finish and it looked amazing! Btw I love your nails, that chartreuse color you’ve been into is seriously so pretty and perfect for summer! And omg I ordered Game Over from SBSD because of you. SO excited to get it! Thank you for sharing this little makeup routine ❤ you always look so fresh faced and amazing!

Combo skin, so I get a little oily in my t zone. Maybe touch up w powder once throughout the day if I think about it and have the time

I have dry skin, but depending on the time of year, I can get pretty oily/sweaty at work. I blot my fave with a piece of toilet paper, touch up my lip color, and go back to work lol

Honestly my big makeup always wears best when I just do my under eyes little bit of brightening a little bit of cream blush set it was a powder bronzer

Brows are my least favorite too. Something I have to get through for my makeup to look cohesive. I love watching you videos, even though I am a cool toned brunette so I don't wear the same colors, but love watching for the technique.

You speak my language and I know that may sound weird but I don’t know how else to explain it😂beautiful look and I’m definitely in need of that brush for the wing and the one you used for corrector/concealer! I feel you on some days not wanting to use your fingers, just that sticky feeling can be over overstimulating for me

I check on my mascara (because A LOT of them tend to smugde on my undereyes.. so annoying) and sometimes I then touch up with some concealer and power. Some eyeshadows can crease on me if its humid or have been a really long day, so I might blend out a crease with my fingers. Lips also obviously. Other than maybe some fading, I expect the rest of mymakeup to hold up for at least 8-10 hours. I will touch up more if I am fx going out after a long day at work. If I have time, I prefer to wash it off and re-apply instead of just touching up in that scenario.

Touch ups…. I’m a lip gloss girly and that gets re done 4,5,6 times a day. Otherwise maybe a bit of powder and waterline eyeliner touch up once if I’ve been at the office through lunch. Weekends…. Bit of setting spray “refresh” before dinner …

I’m an oily girl and I touch up once a day if I go to the bathroom and I notice my oils (usually around midday/early afternoon) but I don’t bring product to work. I literally blot with some toilet paper and maybe dab my ring finger under my eyes to smooth any creasing and that’s it

I didn’t buy the Make Up by Mario palette because it didn’t technically receive amazing reviews from influencers. The toppers were so similar and the mattes were not amazing. Thus, it was overpriced. Are the toppers similar to the Lorac Noir? How about UD 24/7 moondust in lithium? I liked the concept of the palette. It is so pretty and I love the color scheme.

I do a “touch up” in the car sometimes on my lunch break if I have to run from work to grab food. I also do it when I’m going from work to another activity instead of going home. Maybe at home I’ll touch up before people come over. Otherwise, I usually don’t. Definitely not every day.
