Writing can be everywhere. When I have a super busy layout and I don't want to add more pages, I'll do a painted area to journal (can be acrylic paint or gesso too). 😊

Another delightful spread! I love it! I started having some wonderful memories about our local puppet theater in my hometown of San Diego. It was started by Marie Hitchcock and her sister in a building left over from the second SD world expo in 1935 located in Balboa Park. I recall taking my own children to see Marie perform before she died in the 90s. Later, the theater was named for Marie and continues to hold shows. I also took kiddos to some performances when I was teaching. I just looked up on the website to see what was happening with the theater, and I discovered some adult themed shows are being performed in the evenings! I've always wanted to see the show Avenue Q , which is a puppet show aimed at adults. The music is hilarious and speaks out against racism, etc. I'm sure you have heard of it- since you are also a Broadway junkie like I am.😊

I just got my Kodak Zink photo printer. I REALLY wish I had known about it sooner. Having the added frame to your pic was an added surprise. I love it❤

I love the layout!!! Its so fun, as always 🤩. For some of the individuals unsure of how to journal on some of these layouts, you can always make a hidden pocket with some of the ephemera or photos you use and write on a separate sheet and add it in the pocket as well 😁

I believe it was Bob Baker I would get to see at Knotts Berry Farm when I was young. I didn't know there was one of his marionettes in the ride! How fun! Love watching you create! Beautiful and fun! It always inspires me to get busy!

Hi Leah! I was thinking of if I could’ve gone to the meet up (I was way too busy that day to drive up unfortunately) I’d have made pens as well! I like making dangler/charms for my journals and gotten into making pokey tools for dies and the bead pens! (I have such an assortment of beads and charms I’ve come across of the the years and made pens for my gf’s. So happy to see others bring pens themselves! I’d love to send you some of my creations or see you all next time for a meet up since I myself is in the SoCal area and a gf and I would love to join next time! I’ve gotten her and a couple of my best gal pals to junk journal lately and my stash is gotten so large! Haha. But your layout is inspiring. I’m working on my mini Vegas junk journals for my gf trip in June. My stuff has come in (charms for danglers/Washi and the jumbo playing cards I’m using as the covers for the mini journals)

Just bought a pack of washi tapes and wasn’t impressed with the size of one of them until you just said you like that size and I watched you frame the seal pic and now I,m really happy I have one so ty for that.
