using my Yamaha Modx 6 I tweaked the CP70 piano and added Strings to this stunning intro by MichaelMacneil of the classic live version of Book Of Brilliant Things from the 85/86 tour by Simple Minds,I sent the combined sounds through my Strymon Nightsky to add some reverberation,if you like my video please check Martyrs In Disguise on KZfaq,Spotify and other digital formats were we write songs and do cover versions of classic tracks.Thanks for watching

Once again, it’s not just that the rendition is technically perfect, it’s the very subtle syncopation that Mick uses to build the tension that you really seem to understand. But also, and I mean this in a good way, you add something of your own to this song, we hear a little of how this song makes *you* feel. This really is excellent work!

Keep watching this Colin and your bowl drone rendition and I have to admit both bring tears to my eyes and that my friend is special. Sarah last week in Glasgow did this number proud although you could have solo'd with her on the ivories to make it that bit more wow, you've got this tune bang on fella.

Reminds me so much of Milton Keynes 1986 Simple Minds were the biggest band in the world That summers day was biblical … forever on the Waterfront 🙏

Amazing..One of my fave's, still get goosebumps.. It always seemed to get overlooked. Remember at the first Mandela Concert BBC managed to talk over it..
