I was at Wembley the day of the gig in 1984, it was packed. Peter Gabriel sang Stiven Biko... I still have tears in my eyes!! This song will always make me want to scream, cry and laugh for joy after Mandela's release!!! Simple Minds immortal song, it will become a legend, it already is... The first time I heard this song the day before yesterday I love Simple Minds good guys, but this song made me cry so much I read Mandela's biography a wonderful person, what a pity that the world does not appreciate and forgets such people, I am glad that in my country of Russia and the past of the USSR there was an order of this a wonderful person, thanks for this gorgeous song, the instrumental is truly divine, and the vocals stretch to the heavens so that the whole world would hear about this man through the vocalist's lips. I posted this link for all those people who claim that Mandela died back in 1988. I think that they were confused by the huge crowds who gathered from all around the world to see Nelson Mandela being set free. Peace and thanks for posting this video.

La légende dit que cette magnifique chanson a été composée juste avant de monter sur scène, après que le groupe a été informé de la libération de Nelson Mandela. Elle est vraie, si je me fie à mes souvenirs... Mais, ayant vu le concert à la télé, pas certain que c'était diffusé en direct.
