This Minecart elevator is as easy as it is useful, and also the dropper-cobweb combo is a revolution for me! About the Hopper problem at the Storage System, I suggest you the simple solution I found in the youtube channel of Iceface 42 at his video "Slower Minecraft Hoppers - Tileable Delay". (and while I'm here: shouldn't it be awesome to have a giant Cathedral up over the Bedrock ceiling where you can trade with the clerics you brought up there?)

I had similar issue with Redstone in my witch farm, I thought by making the hopper chain longer before I got to the item filter would do the trick, it helped a lot but still I occasionally get Redstone into my overflow chest

I saw once in a raid farm that you can use stairs to make all items fall at EXACTLY the block below the dropper. You have to make the dropper facing horizontally into an upside-down stair. It even solves the problems with the slowing down of the items

Great idea putting villagers at the farm. I hope I can do that too. The portal I placed on the Nether roof spawned a new one way up in the air in the Overworld. I'm hoping a water column with soul sand still works in 1.16 and will be quick enough to not drown them.

For the dropper clock you could use a repeater that will go into the comparator and the full dropper will not be an issue

The simplest fix for the item input problem probably is adding a hopper above that points sideways, so it doesn't push the item into the sorting line itself. Or actually offset the droppers to above the hopper that feeds into the first filter slot. Hoppers that are part of the item transport line in a filter slice may never have more that the one item they are supposed to decide "filter/don't filter" for.

For anyone who's having the same issue with the items not sorting, if you place a hopper 2 blocks above facing to the right into another hopper facing down, then another hopper facing down, it will feed into the item filter hopper one item at a time which will prevent the overflow issue. I had the same issue today with a different farm and had to figure out. The hoppers pulling items down can't be the same vertical line as an item filter.

Don't forget zombies can sometimes join the pigmen, if they do they might drop an iron ingot which could end up in your smelter array. I think all their other drops are either rotten flesh or smeltable.

Make a bamboo farm for the furnaces

you can change the order of items you are sorting to solve the for the rotten flesh reaching the funraces. Just make sure the rotten flesh is not being sorted by the hopper which will be filled with them and it should be fine. Other solutions require adding another buffer, if you want to keep the items order.

hey pix :) i think the rotten flesh problem easily got solved by putting a hopper on top of the hopper wich items lands but it should pointing offside. in that case i think items will travel one by one and hopefully the will not fill the entire hopper (if they do just add chest and hopper under it!) still love your videos :)

Literally throwing an awesome KZfaqr idea out there up for grabs, but somebody should make videos where they recreate what PixelRiffs does in survival in creative as a step by step tutorial for other players to copy, for those such as I who aren't as Minecraft wise.

the issue i see with your cobweb system is that if you leave the area, item will get stuck there, and on certain server, they would get destroyed to reduce the lag. The system that i have put inplace in my world is an item filter that let only the gold nugget and ingot pass, and then get spat in a glass colomn, wich will then land oin hoppers on the bedrock. So by the time i get to the storage system, all of my items are already here waiting for me. Btw, if you want to make a dispenser faster and more reliable, put a comparator, a block, then a sticky piston that holds an observer, and another obervers next to the dispenser. As long as there is something in the dispenser, it will fire, and it is pretty quick and more compact Also, i remember recommending you the blast furnace for the gold farm when you made the video about furnaces, and I changed my point of view. This is a pain. You need to often refuel them, and if you once skipp them, they will jam your whole system. Plus, the difference it provide in golden nuget isnt even that big considering the cost. And lastly, for your rotten flesh issue, just add a single hopper on top. this way, stacks of rotten flesh witl fall in the first one, but then be delivered one by one bellow

I did something like this in my world, and big fuel source such as blaze rods and blocks of coal are not really efficient in the furnace system as sometimes a lot of energy will burn out after smelting one sword and waiting for the storage system to filter stacks of rotten flesh

minecart elevators really bring me back

Considering that the problem with the filter is that there's too much zombie meat in the hopper at a time, maybe having a 3x3 hopper pad that directs into the system might be the way to go here - you'd end up needing more hoppers, but you'd end up diverting the stream into a spiral, slowing down the input to a point where the system would be able to handle it.

They should really come up with a way for us to specify which base item a hopper will collect, the rest should either past through immediately or not get collected at all. I say base item so that something like "minecraft:gold_sword" would include swords with enchantments. Like in the interface of the hopper (or a different variation of a hopper), one slot would be where you would put the item you want to be able to filter through the hopper/ filtered hopper.

You should add an observer bamboo farm to power the furnace array, that way its automatic.

This reminds me that Minecraft minecarts and it's components haven't changed in ages. We also need to be able to smelt gold items like armour and swords.ok , I typed that before I found out we can smelt them. All these years and I never knew that.

Have you tried adding a red stone line to the other side of your comparator so it resets? That way your stuff isn’t getting jammed up in the dropper?

Hey Pixelriffs, you can solve the issue as follows: You can merge all four dropper-streams into a single chest and feed that across your filter system. With that you have a literal buffer-chest and you can control the speed at which the items go into the filter-system. That means a bit more "height" to your build. And IF you want, you can convert all 4 dropper-streams at the top of the farm into a single one with a faster clock (Observer-Clock) to save on redstone-lag and get your collection-system out of that "cross-shape". Did the same to my system. Except that I dropped it way down through the bedrock to have it at my regular nether-hub-height so I don't have to climb atop the nether if I require resources and I am only AFK up there.

You should add auto crafting so the golden nuggets will automatically become golden ingots or blocks

Wish there was a way to auto-unenchant items. It would be nice if you could automatically unenchant any golden swords before they're smelted and the xp is stored in the grindstone.
