So after you've created the shape line and you want to adjust the first point, go ahead and click on the first point with the pen tool, it will close the shape, so just press Ctrl + Z to undo the shape close, the first point will still be selected. Then hold Ctrl + Shift and then tap the arrow keys to move the first point up and left till it gets into the required spot

@@2424rocket I totally agree with you that we shouldn't have to be doing workarounds.. but Why goto a Premiere pro tutorial and comment start learning davinci? Even if premiere pro couldn't do this at all, there's still dynamic link to after effects that most people still find better at motion graphics than davinci's fusion Why are you always in a premiere pro tutorial commenting about DaVinci? There will always be users of premiere pro, not everyone will switch to DaVinci. Can I drop a photoshop file directly in davinci resolve? and have it automatically update my changes? NO Does davinci have the equivalent of Excalibur plugin in premiere that can assign a shortcut to an effect, action or preset? I highly doubt. Can resolve make panels float and combine with each other in any way you like and make highly customized manipulatable workspaces for a multiple monitor setup? NO So why is every solution to switch to resolve? Look I love the fact that there's competition and davinci would make premiere take their software more seriously. but commenting "switch to resolve" in a Premiere pro tutorial that has nothing to do with resolve is a bit too much.

I've been using Premiere for a couple years now, and always wondered how to do these kinds of callouts (I edit training videos as part of my job). Your solution here is so simple, I can't believe it never occurred to me! Thanks for this (and literally ALL) your other content. It's been HUGE for me.

Hello, Javier. I´m a 61 years old from Brazil. This is the second time I coment on your videos. Recently, I've moved from Camtasia to Premiere and I've been learning Premiere through many videos I watch here on youtube and this is also the second time I'm going to say that yours are the ones that helped me the most.I struggle to create boxes, highlights, circles, pointers, zooms to certain zones, picture in picture, etc Things that could be used on how-to-do, tutorials and screencasting videos. So, if I´m not bothering you, and if by any chance you find that you could make one or more premiere pro video tutorials especifically to people who edit screencast tutorials that would be very much appreciated. Sorry for my English. Thank you very much for all your helpful help.

Hey Adilson! I use Camtasia too! That’s what I screen record on. I find it to be great for that purpose but I can try and see what would translate to a premiere tutorial.

As always, this is great stuff. From this particular video I think I learned how to do 2 things that I've been doing, but the video's methods are MUCH better and more efficient. Now hopefully I don't forget to use the methods.

Great tutorial and tips, boss. The mastering of shapes is quite needed in Premiere Pro while After Effects has a lot of this done easily. You always make things easier and with better understanding for us. Keep firing us with the best always.
