In today's video we are going to be painting a NEXT LEVEL Sunflower! We’re taking some easy Techniques and pushing them to the limit and trying out some new ones too!

Sunflowers are my favorite; they remind me of the archaic way of life, the bond with nature, and simply, the warmth of the sun. You found a great fan in me. I'm not sure what was the original flower you compared at the end of the video. Great work (again)!

I prefer this sunflower. The little jewels look like the beginning of seeds. Our sunflower plants grow to 5-6 feet tall in the summertime. 🌻 I will send you a picture on Instagram next summer.😊🌻💕

Hello AB, personally I like this sunflower more because I prefer lighter colors and here, both the background and the sunflower, itself, are lighter. And i like the colors of the petals and the colors for the center better in this creation. But, it's really a matter of personal preference. Both are beautiful. All your work is beautiful. I don't know where you get the energy to create into the wee hours of the night. When i stay up late into the might like this, it's only because my work day starts around noon the following day. Hope you do it because it is fun, enjoyable and an adventure. Thank you for giving me hours of entertainment and watching fun.

I'm really enjoying this flower series 😍 especially because it's winter here and everything is covered in snow. Also do you varnish after it's dry? If so, what kind do you prefer. I think peony and calla lily would look beautiful 😍

Wow! Love your "seed" part. A little Art Deco, a little Stylized 60s/70s vibe! I was thinking that the largest leaf would look interesting kind of partial at the bottom somewhere. Like partly out of the frame.

I have been watching several of your videos. You are an amazing artist! Please explain the reason you use the butane torch. Is it to make a special effect? Also, after you complete a painting like this do you seal it with varnish or anything else?

Thank you very much for your kind words Donna!🥰 💕Yes, I varnish most of my pieces (some of them are resined); the torch is used to pop the air bubbles in paint; if you use silicone, it also helps creating more cells.
