I didn't know how to turn on the tipping point, I learned that, which is of grat help for me. Thanks! Also, I didn't know what the "reveal all" was for: That simple tip will speed up my work. Thank you again! I will watch this short tutorial again, to pay attention to how you were able to repeat the feathers without having to do it feather by feather.

Nice tut Colin..Really forgot about that one. Learned that almost a decade ago, but just found out the hard way that it does not work with smart objects. Needs to be rasterized!. Just a heads up.

OK - it took me a while to get this working... But I found out the feather (or whatever you're using) has to be rasterized if it's a smart object, apparently.. Don't know if I missed that, but anyway, once I rasterized the layer with the feather, it worked great!

Thanks for sharing and I made sure to give you a thumbs up. Regarding this technique I used it and it worked but then my Photoshop crashed, now after restarting my computer it will not repeat the process (Shift+Alt+Crtl+j). Any clue?

Colin - is the Shift Opt Cmd modifier set useful on other tools as well? The modifiers are often mysterious and I feel like there are general rules that apply to them. Perhaps a short tut on modifiers and applicability?

Hi Colin. A question on the Pivot Point. When I try this and move the Pivot Point, I can rotate the object but afterwards the Pivot Point seems to revert back to the default position. Should it stay where moved to or is this default position by design? I have tried both hitting Enter and selecting the Tick on the options bar. Many thanks, love these tutorials!
