I really like it offset. I can't believe you are doing that today because I just saw one similar to that in my room I was in at my doctors office yesterday. It was like a sunset night sky. Love yours, you don't see to many of those that leave negative space like that on a ring pour.💗💗💗👍👍

Molly, this a stunning painting!! I am a huge fan of negative space. These Arteza metallics jump off of the black background!! I'm so glad that you did an off-set center and really stretched out those color bands. Thank you, so much, for the great tips of coating the background only around the canvas edges, and laying down the black only after you've stretched out the ring most of the way. I'm especially fond of the movement of the edge of the ring pour! Ok...you've totally inspired me...I've added this idea to my list of painting experiments!
