I like your channel. It is refreshing some of the things that you show. In this world today things get covered up, glossed over, and hidden from view. As some one who identifies as a country boy most people do not know what happens between catching the fish AND putting it in the frying pan. Shouting "grab the stick" and showing what the fish look like when you bring them home is refreshing. In other videos open carrying in the back country is also a refreshing to see. Thank you.

I literally can’t wait for your videos! Thank you for the National Geographic grade videos of all the gorgeous Alaska wilderness, the wonderful creatures and wildlife, and of course your 2 fur babies. You are so informative, creative, talented, and sweet to watch. Your elevation ship is a treasure to. Thank you so much!

From the opening drone scenes .. to the flowers .. all the hard work.. then the payoff cooking and eating the 'mixture of creatures' on your porch .. well, this was one of your best. I've been watching from the beginning and I'm still amazed at your versatility and talent. Well done!

I started out like Eric on filleting by breaking the rib bones and trimming them off, later on I finally grabbed a traditional Alaskan Ulu and taught myself to filet with that, you don't even need to break the rib bones at all, when you do it right the meat just peels off the rib bones and all the fatty belly meat is left, I always do a cold smoke and air dry afterwards all my belly meat, the oil stays better that way

one of my favorite bits of the salmon we harvested growing up in alaska was the salmon skin - we always de-scaled it when processing it, took a little bit longer for each fish but absolutely worth it… like extra crispy fried chicken skin when we fried the salmon with its skin still on 🥰 and we always made our popular filipino fish head sour soup 🥰🥰🥰
