As I was watching you prep your food for storage I thought it would be helpful if you could do a video on how to do that. Which foods need moisture, which ones don't. What were you wrapping in moist towels, how long do herbs last in a jar of water, etc. Thank you for your continued wisdom, Christine! You're always so inspirational!

This was very interesting. It made me think about the way our family spends money, and what we consider as important/essential. I liked that you also included spending for treats. And that you spent that money on the Airbnb, as part of taking care of your self. Thank you sharing, Christine.

Thanks for this new and informative video. I am from germany and in times of war in europe your videos slow me down and give me a little time out from worry. Especially your words in the video "hope in the darkness" are so encouraging and i pray for peace every second! Jesus is the hope in the darkness! What a blessing. Stay safe and healthy!

I love how real this week of spending is. It had needs and wants mixed in with it. Love it. It wasn't extreme on either side but right in the middle.

Love the reminder that making a point to shop what's in season can really impact your total cost. Especially at Whole PayCheque...I mean Whole Foods.

We seldom use our dryer, and I love coming home and smelling fresh laundry as you walk in 😁😁😁. We actually have a combination washer/dryer and it's the first time in my life that I have had a dryer. I grew up in sunny South Africa so there was never a need for one. I now live in Portugal and it's useful if you have a kid 👍☺️

Would love to see how you shop seasonally! I'm trying to keep my costs low as well because I'm saving up for a house, and would love to see how shopping and eating seasonally would help, and how you know what's the season for the different types of fruit and vegetables.

Love the video! I started using CSA boxes a few months ago and have been loving the fresh & local fruits and veggies. Would love to see a future video on how you cook with items in your CSA box :) I sometimes struggle with cooking with all the vegetables in my box each week - especially when I get the uncommon veggies! How do you plan out your cooking based on what comes in the box? Thanks Christine!

I think I passed out at the $6 croissant! Omg, that is so expensive!! Interesting to see your purchases, I shop & cook for a family of 5 (incl 3 teenagers) so my groceries look pretty different. I think my total also comes to about €500 for a month. Thank you for sharing!

I know! San Francisco is very inflated with the tech industry pushing everyone out - it's pretty sad to see. Everyone else has to compete with those with high tech salaries. Wish it was better :/

I’m against canned foods because of the environment! I also do not eat most processed foods, I know it’s healthier to make my own soups etc. and it cuts down on packaging. Dave’s money to make my own food. Which helps the foot print on Earth!😊

Do you have a food budget? How much would you spend on average per month?
@simplybychristine2 жыл бұрын
Around 500, but it’s one of the areas we struggle to stick to since food costs are rising with inflation and we often need to eat out after long cookie days 🍪
