4x4 TrekOZ, off-road gear and good times. My channel covers, four wheel driving, chatting about off-road gear, camping, some fishing, a little cooking and good times. The plan is to talk to the camera like I am talking to you. My longer trips are more about the journey than the destination, staying one or two nights in each spot chatting as we go. Currently I work full time with retirement coming mid 2025. Until then my trips will be monthly, post retirement, I'm planing on living on the road for large parts of the year. I do my best to post 3 or 4 vids each month, post retirement I'm aiming to post twice each week. Welcome, I hope you enjoy. You can find me on Facebook, Instagram and KZfaq. Just search Wayne Groomes, Land and Bay Fishing or 4x4 TrekOZ Overland. Thanks for watching.
Simpson Desert Double Crossing, Part 5, Madigan Line Begins. We travel from Lamberts Center to Camp 6 on the Madigan Line.

Our 2008 Madigan trip consisting of 10 guys and 5 land Cruisers took us 10 days as the first group across that year, the tyre in places did not exist and we looked for the wheel ruts on the distant dunes as well as following a Gpx file on our Garmin 276c, looking to do this trip again this year 2023, at the moment the western side is flooded and Mt Dare is isolated.

Subbed Dude. Great trip. Hello Annie! Listen love, was wondering if you could brighten the hair up a bit before the next trip. If Wayne loses the sand flag you might find yourself strapped to the top of the pole though. Remember, every item on the trip must have 3-4 uses 🤣

Not that I recall but I may have missed it. We took time to stop at most signs for a pic. We don’t have one for the Madigan.

Wayne, great vid, I almost lost my sand flag and should use duct tape. How is Tommy camper handle the couragation? Do you feel the centre of gravity? How much dry weight? It might be my next build.
@CanopyCampingAustralia
@CanopyCampingAustralia 2 жыл бұрын
Gday Gary, I absolutely love my setup. With a budget of less than 100k I don’t think you’ll better it. If I had an open purse then I’d go troopy build, or 79 with another Tommy. The SX4 is 312kg as a shell. That’s including the lid and bed platform.
