Simpson Desert Ultimate loop | Riding the sea of sand in central Australia

We take on lead rider duties with Daryl Beattie Adventure's Ultimate Simpson Desert Loop Tour.
That means we weren't dragging around camera gear, but we managed to shoot a heap on the phone and GoPro so we could give you a look at some of the amazing tracks and explain some of this area's rich history.
Come and check out famous tracks like the French Line, the Colosn Track and the greatest of them all...the Madigan Line!
And oh yeah...we saw something really weird going on in the skies above the desert...

Amazing ride Guys the CRF450s are definitely a good weapon of choice. Love the narrator he's a Champion his production skills are really good and interesting the flies like him as well 😉😅😅😅😅all kinds of characters go out in the scrub eh 😅 wish I could afford a supported trip through the Simpson maybe 1 day it's the only way to fly

I get anxiety everytime I watch a ride in sand. My last ride on a dirt bike was a 75km loop on the of the big desert near Jeparit with deep whoops as far as you could see. It broke me mentally after never been a sand “expert” and I sold my bike the following week. I'll just stick to road & track 👍 Great vid 👍

Brilliant video! You did the land, its people and Darryl Beattie Adventures a massive service! I spent half my childhoood up the road in Darwin and having been here in Europe the last few years, this video was pulling at the heart strings a LOT. 🙂 Really looking forward to doing that ride. FYI - bucket list includes Kimberleys and Africa (a lot of it anyway) and North America. I'll be happy to do those...keep up the great work.!!

Fantastic vid Damo! I was out there too last month just after all that rain, and it was an unforgettable and breathtaking experience! (Nothing to do with my lack of fitness, BTW!) No ATs on this tour. Daz uses the CRF450RL and Transalp for tours now.

@silveriojohan I know! Murray has just been sitting there watching tests bikes come and go. I have a plan to take him out on a couple of routes soon. Gotta show him some love for sure.

Sand.... I learnt to just go, in the attack position, pull back equally on the bars and do not let the front wheel dig in, keep it on the rear. Also, I hate sand. Like nothing else. EDIT: No, really. Fk sand. Riding fitness really hit me, eternal mini squats and grip / forearm strength took their toll. But I'd do this organised ride in a heartbeat : )
