Ed’s description of creating the Elephant sound is absolute gold!!! I’ve never known how he did that until now. I could see it perfectly in my mind’s eye. Thx for posting this interview. It made my day!!!

Great interview. Diver Down is such a great album. When I was 12 back in the early 80's, I heard Intruder and it made me want to learn guitar.

Hey I thought I was the one person that liked Diver Down. I can not even try to guess how many times I listened to Little Guitars. BTW who is the guy with the mouth full of marbles that’s interviewing him? Sounds like somebody’s neighbor.

That would be $123,000 in today's money. I read that Def Leppard's Pyromania cost over a million dollars (over 3 million now) to make! Classic VH kept it simple.

yeah, Mutt Lange would make them do around a 100 takes fairly often. They were all ready to quit at one point.

IMO, Pretty Woman is the single BIGGEST PIECE OF SHIT Van Halen ever recorded, that song sucked originally to begin with, I can see why Ed hated it so damn much!!
