Wowowow thank you for this fantastic video! I love how your reviews zoom through details while you contextualize them within the lot and the surrounding world. (A long aside:) This is my first time seeing these lots in almost 10 years! I'm so annoyed with myself that I can't finish this, but I'm glad that it still feels really intricate. It also makes me think about my approach to building in the Sims before versus after I got my architecture degrees. Nowadays, I try to limit the amount of EPs used, and I go for a thematically consistent and functional design. With this world and Al Medina, there were many more creative risks and competing ideas. That stairway to a detached bedroom suite?? So preposterous but weirdly cool!

thank you for sharing this world! it was such a fun one to explore! even in its unfinished state I was wowed by this world but i completely understand the feeling of not being able to go back to it so I don't blame you.

I really appreciate the work this person put into this world, but even if it's supposed to be inspired by Germany (or rather Bavaria...), that's the least German/Bavarian town I've ever seen.

I'd love to see how you can recreate a fully authentic German town with the game restrictions ☺ TS3 CAW is still available for free on the Store!!

@@NonRevSims It's not really about the world itself, although there are a bit too many mountains, it reminded me more of Switzerland or Austria than Germany. It's more about the houses and their architecture and especially their interior. I do know that building in TS3 is not easy and that there are limited options, I also tried CAW a few times. But I am German, I live in Southern Germany, and especially if you live in the countryside, there are so many beautiful houses, not just in the Fachwerk-style but also houses fully covered in wood and the same on the inside - traditional houses in Southern Germany, Switzerland and Austria have wooden floors, often wooden walls, and a lot of wooden furniture, which I was completely missing, it looked more like castles with all that stone and the furniture? Also, they're often small, with very long balconies and with big gardens - just think of cottagecore, small and cozy. But those Fachwerk-houses are way too big, with weird shapes and with little to no gardens and that made me a bit sad. Also the house with that beautiful view on the waterfall would definitely deserve a balcony. But I really like the Altstadt (the "old town", the part of the world with the church/library), because you can clearly see that it's based on Munich. But for the other regions, I just can't see anything that says "German/Bavarian" or that actual references were used like in the Munich-part.

Not German myself but after reading your comment I decided to do some research myself and I agree with everything you e said. Maybe it is just game limitations or maybe they didn’t do those locations justice in this town🤷🏽♂️
