Thank you SOOOO much for this! I spent about 4 hours last night trying to figure it out myself and just couldn't seem to get it. I was thinking the foundation had to be all one piece, but I see now that it doesn't. Now my modern desert mansion will have that beautiful path I imagined.

This was probably the first of your videos I ever watched. I didn't subscribe at the time because I didn't think I could do this. LOL I still haven't attempted this but I have obviously learned a lot in the last couple of years. I still suck at building but it's getting so much better.

Thank you so much for this tutorial! For my fellow ps4 players- you'll have to go back in and use the straight line fence tool to connect the curved fences as it highlights the entire bit and not just the curved fence when tying to just stretch them.😊

I reccomend doing all this before you have a house built, it kept chsnging ALL my foundation heights with it..unless there is a way to 'bypass' that. 😕 great idea though!

Only if you would add stairs in between the different sections of foundations! :) It would be a different look but it's a nice idea!

Yes, you could absolutely do that! The green little bits in the corners are actual grass underneath and not any kind of floor. So you could use terrain paint to adjust the color of the grass. For the floor that I used in that video a dark brown sand would probably be really good for example! :)

So first it didn’t work and so I tried deleting it but now I have the endings of the fences in the ground and it won’t let me delete them or move them and it won’t undo someone plz help

after placing the fence wouldn't it work to delete the foundation and do terrain paint?

Unfortunately not, when you delete the foundation it deletes the rounded part of the fence as well!

Does anyone know how to turn the foundation pieces without placing it first? I’ve been trying to figure this out forever. Also is it the same as the roof??

You can press . (The dot) on the keyboard to rotate objects including foundations! :)

It's lovely, but if you raise the foundation level of the house it breaks the path :-(

You can leave a one grid wide gap between the house and the path so the foundations aren't connected so you can raise the house's foundation and leave the path's foundation low. This is possible since the November update! Happy new year! 😊

Too bad this trick wouldn't work with those U-curved paths that lead up to the entrance of a fancy mansion... I think they're way too spherical to simulate in-game. Hopefully that makes sense.

That is weird. I have never heard of that and googled it and apparently it's a common bug that some people encounter. It has nothing to do with the foundation itself. Someone suggested to add a basement underneath the lot, this fixed it for some. :)

I used to have the German version installed as I am German but I have since changed the language to English as you can see in my newer videos! :) This way it's easier for everyone to follow along and see which items I've used.
