e30 would be 325iX not 525iX, e34 is 525iX.

Woops, it is indeed supposed to be 325iX. I'm so used to working on my 525i, so I guess that's where it all went wrong. I will correct it with an annotation. Thank you for pointing out the error.

The only mistake made here was cutting up a round tail 02 instead of a less desirable 74-76 model. Good work!

I've noticed that off road converted sport compacts has become somewhat of a thing lately. What's the craziest creation you've seen?

Well I guess Gingium's Rally Miata will be the craziest soon. It's already amazing. So far he's supercharged the little inline 4, it has a skid plate and partial undertray, large mud-bogger tyres, roof rack, roll bar, plastidip paint, intake snorkel, power steering (it didn't come with it), roof mounted lights, long travel suspension, trunk mounted spare tyre, and cut bumpers with bash bars. He plans to engine and drivetrain swap it by with a Subaru EJ20 or EJ25 engine and the AWD system from a Subaru as well. It'll be crazy cool, I hope he plans to redo it's exhaust as well with the exhaust coming out the sides above the back wheels, that'd be really cool :)

Does a full body/drivetrain swap.. builds full rollcage and offroad suspension geometry.. stiffens everyting.. makes it the perfect offroad fun-machine... then gives 0 sh*ts about the bodywork.. sorry to say this guys, if you dont paint/prime it.. your masterpiece will rot. this awesome car deserves a nice paintjob!

I am well aware;) It is fixed with an annotation overlay, but unfortunately overlays don't show up if you view the video on a portable device.

How do you do these cinematic photo effects? Looks so sick, please do tell.

I use photoshop to crop out elements in the foreground. Then I scale up the foreground elements so that they can move slightly more than the original picture in the background without revealing the parts of the background that the foreground element was cut out from. Another way is to just crop out all elements separately, draw what you think is supposed to be behind them in the background and then just animate each element so that elements closer to you move more than those far away. Or I could make a video about it...;)

It wasn't corrected. The engine and front suspension are simply mounted further ahead than on a stock 2002.

I know ill get some hate for this......but here goes.... that body looks ROUGH, I know that's the look you guys wanted but DAMN!!! I would of loved to see if it u actually cleaned it up, smoothed everything out and put a decent paint job on it, hell spray it in that rhinoarmour stuff or something make it really mean looking. Keeping with that idea I woulda put a full led light bar across the top and also tried to find a way to center mount the exhaust tips. also migt look cool with slightly wider tires in the back? the fronts look alright like that but the read ones look too tractor for me. all just my view on it, still looks fun to drive tho, good job

If someone who has built one submits their skyline build I will gladly do it. I prioritize submitted builds as it's much easier than getting in contact with builders/owners through forums. I also have three projects in the making right now, so I will complete those first.

I can't decide if I want to make my e30 a street or rally build. I started off wanting to make it an ultimate track/street build, but now I'm leaning towards rally, with the suspension lifted and some heavy duty tires so I can drive over curbs and shit, and hoon dirt roads in it. Its not an ix, so no mountain climbing though.

im building a drift e30, but untill its all ready its on stock suspension and stripped so it sits high, and i put a skid plate, bash bar and a welded diff on it and its so much fun to rally. my instagram is dc_disasters if you wanna see some of the build and some rally/drift videos

Man I loved the video and the build! But a little tip as a 21:9 ultrawide screen user: Please render your videos in 21:9 if you are going with the cinematic look. With black bars on top and bottom all I see is a thick ass stroke around the picture :(
