When Miller was interviewing Rourke for the film, he kept writing in his notes "Mickey IS Marv", heh. I'm not familiar with the graphic novels, but it's a great film nonetheless.

God damn, Frank Miller and his books rock. Sin City, 300, both great books AND great movies, so why doesn't someone adapt his best book ever into a movie, The Dark Knight Returns?

the best part of sin city is Rourke. I got a dismal fefeling around some of the other stuff in the film, except for Jessica Alba, and the fantastic Brittany Murphy. (She was really great) The whole priest stuff with Rutgar Howard (sp?) and the cutting up stuff, etc. didn't do shit for me. But the Mickey antics were a blast.
