The legendary Sinbad paid us a visit on Sway in the Morning and brought his wisdom with him. While promoting his Caroline’s NY stand-up show, he also weighs in on today’s millenials, and how different our culture has changed since the late 80’s.
“Everybody wants to be a Vine-star and an Instagram-star… but are you a star?” Sinbad says. “Everybody wants to be a star, and nobody wants to be a fan anymore.”
Sinbad is honest as he breaks down our culture, from wannabe-DJs to wannabe-hiphop-stars. Also weighing in on the Cosby rape allegations, and his Good Burger co-star, Keenan Thompson’s recent comments.

I like what he said about the establishment having a problem with him taking control over his career and doing it his way. This is the pokadot elephant in the room! The industry heads don't want anyone having a large audience and following doing things without their control, influence or agenda being up in the mix. I am sure that Sinbad career could have been even greater than what it is had he just allowed himself to be a puppet but I am glad that he didn't sell out. We should all learn a lesson from the book of Sinbad! It's best to struggle and do it your way and achieve moderate success than to sell your soul to the devil and achieve a monstrous illusion of success!

guarogee Yeah. Sinbad mentioned in his interview with The Breakfast Club that he financed those shows with his own money and ran into some financial problems. He said he even lost his American Express card over it.

Top 100 Comedians of ALL TIME is not an insult, but rather a compliment when considering comic legends such as Bob Hope, Jerry Lewis, Jackie Gleason, Lucille Ball, Rodney Dangerfield, Milton Berle, Laurel & Hardy, Abbot & Costello, The Three Stooges, George Burns, Jonathan Winters, Carol Burnett, Joan Rivers, Phyllis Diller, Bill Cosby, Richard Pryor, Paul Mooney, Redd Foxx, George Carlin, George Wallace, Steve Martin, Gilda Radner, Whoopi Goldberg, Robin Williams, Billy Crystal, Jim Carrey, Eddie Murphy, Rosanne Barr, Jerry Seinfeld & Bernie Mac for starters, but this list is so long that most of us are too young to have ever heard of most of the comics.
