Thank you for this. I have believed in sinful nature my entire life, even using it as an excuse. I’ve noticed my local church leans heavily on Calvinist theology. I will continue to read the Bible and learn it’s truth myself rather than allow flawed men to interpret it for me!

Minister Pearl, off subject here again, but I had to let you know that when a another man comes into a relationship with a mother and daughter, as in mine after a divorce, how my experience touched me. My daughter always went to my husband before me when she was scared. He was a rock solid instrument in her well-being, and my son's as well. I would be too concerned, and cry when they needed strength. Blessed be the fathers.

Thank you for the illumination. I never had a problem with the concept of free will. The Lord knows the outcome of my life, but I don't so I truly have free will to decide my course. God gets a bad rap with the idea of predestination.

We were made in the image of Almighty God. We were made to be like Him. We were not made in the image of Adam. God did not have an unclean spirit, a sinful nature, a desire to do only evil. We were fearfully and wonderfully made. 🌷

Exodus 32:33 And the LORD said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book. Psalms 3:6 I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about. Luke 12:4 And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. John 8:11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. Colossians 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. 2 Peter 2:4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; Revelation 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

I have learned a lot from you in the past and I'm commenting on this video with complete respect. I do believe everyone can learn more by sharing thoughts. And that is what I am doing. I want to note that I am against calvinist teachings and I'm very familiar with them. I could show many scriptures that prove we have free will. There is one part of what you said that I have always looked at differently and I'd like to explain it. I have been guilty of using the phrase sinful nature when talking about how Jesus is the second Adam. Talking about how death by Adam being passed on to others because all have sinned. I completely get what you are saying and will admit it is a very interesting way of looking at things. I understand how you took the next few verses to come up with your conclusion, this is used often when proving people mistakenly using verses. However, in this case I believe there are previous verses you aren't taking into consideration. When Adam ate that apple he gained the knowledge that came in that apple. That's why they realize they were naked. I take that as what has been passed on because everyone sense them have known of Good and evil. I take that new knowledge as what I mean when I say sinful nature. Because with that knowledge in the human body it is said that there are none righteous, no not one. I don't take it as meaning we can't do good, we have free will. However, having the knowledge of Good and evil inside of this human body has shown to be a 100% turnout of people committing at least one sin. And we are all guilty of that and that is why we all deserve to go to hell and why we need a savior. Jesus was the only one who was able to and that is because he was holy. After we are reborn we received the Holy Spirit which helps us fight against the body and is a down payment for when we get our spiritual body. However, I do not believe that we cannot do good nor that we don't have free will. Just like I said, with the knowledge of Good and evil inside this human body it has proven to be impossible to 100% resist the temptations. And all it takes is one cent to deserve to go to hell. What is your opinion on my thoughts?

Well I will give by opinion based of what I've learned from Michael Pearl. With Christ it is possible to resist all temptation. We just don't always choose to, but it's certainly possible. What we got when Adam ate the fruit was a conscience. Which is why when we sin we feel guilty because we got a conscience from him when he ate the fruit. Also Christ overcame sin as a man not as a God. He took on human nature. Had he of chose sin he would not have been Holy and it was certainly possible for him to of chose sin, he just chose not to. He has the freewill to choose sin just like we have the freewill to choose righteousness. He just chooses not to sin and we just don't always choose righteousness but by believing that your old man has been put to death with Christ on the cross and that you are now a new creature in Christ Jesus, you are free to never sin again. The Holy Spirit is to comfort us and to guide us but it doesn't help us battle are old man. The battle has already been fought and the victory has already been won. You just got to reckon it to be so. God bless

absolutely, here is the clear text that reminds people that when we are born, we are born in a sinful nature, psalm 51:5, behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me, just that text alone, forget about Romans 5:12 and Romans 6:23
