Wow... This live hangout really open my eyes to this; when you chase something it runs from you, but when you build good relationship with it and treat it the right way were ever you go it follows you. "SING AND THE VOICE WILL FOLLOW" Said Dr. Dan. That's great.

I've been following you both for quite long. In Italy and in Detroit. I appreciated hearing Justine take time and expound on some of his views and techniques. Dan , you have become a highlight of my week and I have "borrowed" many a thought and metaphor. Justin one of your last comments was very inspiring. Thinking of someone you love and accepting your voice and it's flaws as much you do that person. Thank you both!!

The question why you started sing bring in my eyes tears because I heard one singer who inspired me to sing and that coming moments were very beautiful, but then problems started to come in my life and I'm very thanksful of my singer who inspired me and her name is Sia if she will not in my life, maybe I will not write there I will not be in this world, but singing kept me alive and now I'm good and I was going trought my problems with my voice and now my voice is my angel and life saver❤️

My honest opinion of New York Vocal Coaching? I can sing pretty high but found that vowels were butchering my ability to sing high. Thanks to him and his vowel exercises I can now sing those high vowels with much more ease. I follow those vocal exercises every single day and have seen a massive improvement with singing vowels with higher range. He's a fantastic, enthusiastic and encouraging person!

I love that y’all did this! You both have been so instrumental in my rehabilitation journey. I’ve been blessed to have a local NATS couple help me and spent a year as a Voice major but often have told how your videos (Freya as well) have been so helpful - because y’all promote trained, proper vocal techniques as well as mind/body communion and having a positive outlook are so crucial to a long life of Vocal health. Keep up the great work! 💜❣️

How wonderful to hang out with 2 of my favorite online singing teachers. I want to add that singing professionally followed a dance career. I danced because I wanted to physically 'embrace' music. Singing is possibly the only other way of musical expression where your instrument is your body...isn't it? It gives us the opportunity to be VERY close to the music we love

I like to sometimes try songs that are a bit too challenging and out of reach, but not hugely out of reach so that after I practise something a bit easier and keep going with my exercises for a month or two, I can return to that song which used to be out of reach and feel the progress. Like a stretch goal. I also listen to and sometimes try songs that are way, way out of reach (being careful not to hurt my voice ofc) and seeing the very gradual progress as it slowly gets less impossible, like chasing the dream. I find this keeps me highly motivated as I never feel like I am stuck (and also so that if I do seem to get stuck, I am aware of it and realise I need to change something about how I practise). I definitely agree however that it is important that most of your song work should be on songs that are within reach but slightly challenging.

This was very insightful inspiring & appreciated. I learned a lot. To go beyond our comfort zone not limiting or being Pigeonholed into a box. You Both made a Lot of sense & answered some important questions. My son & I just watched the Movie with Doris Day & Gordon MacGrey called "On Moonlight Bay". They both have Beautiful voices they sound Perfect. But more than the Technique it's the Way they Communicated Thier message to one another that gave it even More Depth & Meaning that moved us Emotionally to believe Thier Story through song. Thier Facial expressions & Emotion. Dr. Dan That's a Beautiful way to Express & Inspire to "Sing & The Voice Will Follow" Thank you So much! I will definitely watch this again & just shared it with my son whose been singing since infancy. I know he will also appreciate this. My first time hearing your guest from New York. You both were encouraging & very Kind.💯 that's very important especially Today! Thank you😊

I appreciate your teaching techniques and live streams. How do I find correct placement in my voice to where it is not strained, breathy, or nasaly. I have had people tell me I strain sometimes or the like. My voice does not feel strained, but sometimes sounds strained. I understand people also say to sing through the mouth canal and not nose, but sometimes I feel like I get ok placement and sometimes not. How can I instantly dial in on correct placement when I sing? Do you have any examples or videos as I am a visual learner? Is there a trick to remember? Thank you for your time.

This is a very interesting video. Most appreciated. i've watched & practice both (along with others) these vocal coaches KZfaq channel. And put together my own daily vocal regiment. I must say I have seen some results. Although I am suffering from and attempting to overcome some vocal damage. But I would like to hear why vocal coaches are charging such exorbitant prices these days? I live in NYC and the vocal coaches here are ridiculously expensive. Other than watching and doing exercises from both of these vocal coaches KZfaq channel. Do you have any suggestions on how to get a private vocal coach in NYC that is reasonably priced?
